Rosehill Gardens Racing Tips: Saturday, March 28th 2026
Race 1: Midway BM72 1300m - 12:30pm (AEDT)
(1) African Daisy: 7YO mare who was flat first up over 1200m in this grade. Should strip fitter second up and generally runs well in doing so with 4 seconds, but yet to win one. If the conditions stay soft she looks a sneaky chance at odds. 3kg claim engaged assists.
(4) Audreys Lane: 5YO Mare who got the chocolates first up in this grade over 1200m and did so nicely. Will likely be going on with things and has a handy record that suggests that will be the case. 2 from 3 second up and 2 from 4 on the wet track. The one to beat.
BET: NO BET
Race 2: Asahi Super Dry Neville Sellwood Stakes 2000m - 1:05pm (AEDT)
(2) Barnavara: Resuming 4YO Mare who Waller and J-Mac are awfully bullish on. Comments made she looks to be the next Via Sistina type. She already has a handy record and will be hard to be fresh. Unbeaten at this trip and relishes the expected conditions. J-Mac steering boosts confidence.
(3) Wootton Verni: 5YO gelding who is fourth up today and may have the fitness edge on a few others here. He is unbeaten when fourth up and all but one of his 7 career wins have come from fourth up or further into his campaign. Record at this distance is also handy with 4 wins and a second from the 6 runs. Worth thought.
(2) Barnavara
$1.80 (5 units)
Race 3: Drinkwise Baillieu 1400m - 1:40pm (AEDT)
(1) Plagiarism: 2YO Colt who hasn’t been far away in some top quality races. Has been supported in the early market and will likely be thereabouts.
(2) Wolf Gap: 2YO Colt who was very good on debut and then had a crack at Group 2 level and was far from disgraced. Nash sticks and will be thereabouts.
(4) Perisian Wonder: 2YO gelding who is yet to break maiden, but has ran some handy races against some talented types at group level. This looks slightly easier on paper and the rise to 1400m may suit.
BET: NO BET
Race 4: Quayclean BM88 1400m - 2:15pm (AEDT)
(5) Lilac: 4YO Mare who rates well for this affair, albeit being ordinary in her last 2 outings. Gets out to 1400m now which is ideal and is proven third up. Handles these conditions and draws a nice enough gate. Nock jumps into the saddle claiming 1.5kg which only boosts confidence. Looks over the odds and worth an each way play.
(11) Captain Furai: 5YO Gelding who has been good this prep with 2 thirds and a handy win. Goes well fourth up and handles the conditions. $3.50 into $2.70 already. The one to beat.
(5) Lilac E/W
$19.00/$4.40 (0.5u/1.5u)
Race 5: Toyota Forklifts Tulloch Stakes 2000m - 2:50pm (AEDT)
(1) Acora: 3YO Colt who has been terrific in his last two runs. Narrowly being defeated 2 back at Group 2 level and then got the chocolates at a nice price most recently over this trip. Remains at 2000m now and gets back to Group 2 level where he is more than capable of running a race. Soft conditions suit, rates well and gets senior jockey on board. Top tip.
(3) O’Sheamus: 3YO Gelding who has been a little flat returning this time round, but is one from one when third up, so likely he is ready to peak now. Draws pole position and gets Zac Lloyd into the saddle. Value
(1) Acora
$3.00 (2.5 unit2)
Race 6: Vinery Stud Stakes GROUP 1 2000m – 3:25pm (AEDT)
(1) Ohope Wins: 3YO Filly who has strung together three wins in a row. She was dominant in her last start over 2400m in the NZ Oaks winning by 2.5L. Has made a trip across the tasman now and trialled okay at Randiwick leading in. She rates well and with J-Mac riding there will be plenty of admirers. Late sectionals were slick too boosting confidence.
(3) Salty Pearl: 3YO Filly who we were with last start and she got the money superbly after running some handy races prior. Rises in trip again and looks to be no problem. Rock hard fit and will be there about.
(1) Ohope Wins
$2.70 (3 units)
Race 7: Schweppes Emancipation Stakes Group 2– 4:00pm (AEDT)
(2) Verona Rose: 4YO Mare who was terrific two runs back over 1400m at this level. Tackled Group 1 company most recently and was supported in the market and was only beaten 1.4L. Drops back to Group 2 level now and if conditions are soft she will be hard to beat.
(5) Tuileries: 4YO Mare who proved too good at Group 3 level over 1400m at Newcastle most recently. Back to the city and will be full of confidence. Worth thought at the price.
(6) Idle Flyer: Talented 4YO Mare who was far from disgraced when resuming only finishing 1.5L off Gangsta Granny. Since trialled the house down and is 3 from 3 when second up. Top hope.
(6) Idle Flyer (Place)
$2.90 (2.5 units place)
Race 8: Kia Tancred Stakes GROUP 1 2400m – 4:35pm (AEDT)
(1) Dubai Honour: Resuming 8YO gelding who had a pretty handy campaign in Europe and the UK last time round and has made the return to Aus this time round. Unbeaten at this track and has a pretty tidy fresh record. Best is capable of winning this.
(9) Aeliana: 4YO Mare who got the prize third up when not coming up against the undefeated Autumn Glow. Has gone to another level this campaign and should be 3 from 3 if she didn’t have to race against Autumn Glow. Ready to go on with things.
BET: NO BET
Race 9: Racing And Sports Doncaster Prelude 1500m– 5:15pm (AEDT)
(1) Sepals: 4YO Gelding who boasts a handy record and was far from disgraced when resuming at Group 1 level and only 1L off the winner. This is easier now and is unbeaten when second up. Conditions suit and will have plenty of admirers.
(5) Feroce: 4YO gelding who was narrowly denied by Tom Kitten first up over 1400m at Group 3 level. He then went into a Group 1 where he found it a touch too tough. Back in class now and more than capable of running a race. Over the odds?
(13) Enxuto: 5YO Gelding who hasn’t had the best of luck, but his late sectionals have been impressive. Draws a gate today and has been supported in the market. No reason he isn’t in the finish. Chance.
(1) Sepals
$3.30 (2 Units)
Race 10: E Security Group Star Kingdom Stakes – 5:55pm (AEDT)
(1) Gangsta Granny: 4YO Mare who returned nicely saluting over this trip against Group 3 company. Rates well to be able to go on with it. J-Mac stays on top, but the gate is the only concern. With some luck will be hard to beat.
(6) Kings Secret: 4YO Gelding we were with last start and he was well supported and ran on superbly to only go down by just over a length. Rises to 1200m now which looks ideal off that run and especially when his last 200m was exceptional (Fastest of the meeting). Top hope.
(6) Kings Secret
$4.20 (1.5 units)
