Sandown Lakeside will host midweek racing in the state of Victoria this week and another Good track will be on offer for horses and connections. There is meant to be rain on raceday but with two warm days in the lead up, horses that like Dry tracks will again appreciate the surface. Race one starts at 2:30pm (AEDT) with the two year olds kicking things off but my featured bets are later on in the program. We bring you our best bets & Quaddie selections below!

Sandown Racing Tips: Wednesday, March 25th 2026
Race 4: Lockettled.au Handicap 2100m - 4:15pm (AEDT)
(9) Lady Thinkabell has the ability to run on very well in her races and stepping up to 2100m looks ideal. Two starts back at Kyneton over 1800m she ran on very well to score with Liam Riordan on he was the jockey again the following start when she almost got there when beaten a nose at Ballarat over 2000m. Will get back again and should appreciate Lakeside.
(6) Sapphire Siren has a first and a third to her name on Good tracks from just two starts. She will go forward for Teo Nugent and if he can get a slow speed he can win.
(5) Empress Of The Sun is fitter now and likes Dry tracks. Settles midfield and put in a much better effort at Hillside last start despite missing the placings.
(9) Lady Thinkabell WIN
$3.60 (1 unit)
Race 7: Ive Handicap 1600m - 6pm (AEDT)
(8) Factcheck has drawn barrier 1 for Craig Williams and I think he might settle in the box set here behind the leader. He was beaten a nose last start on a Good track at Pakenham and before that he was way too good with Willow on when close to odds on. It's his second time over the mile and he will improve. Opened up at $2.70 and that got snapped up within the hour. Stable is on fire.
(5) Merchant Flyer runs on well in his races so barrier 11 might not be too bad as he will go back to near last anyway. Has won 4 times from 10 starts over this distance and he is second up for the Bedggood stable.
(11) Winston goes well fresh but would have probably preferred a Soft track. Did win a jumpout at Balnaring and he has already won when Jamie Mott is on top. Has come up at $16.00 which looks overs.
(8) Factcheck WIN
$2.30 (3 units)
Race 8: Sportsbet Same Race Multi Handicap 1400m - 6:30pm (AEDT)
(15) Trapdoor has drawn wide in 12 but is usually versatile in the run so Beau Mertens has a few options available to him. He was favourite at Hillside last start when 2nd and he did run well when 2nd when he was second up last prep. Enamorada was the winner last start and she performed well at Caulfield on Saturday.
(10) First Chorus won a Geelong trial on August 18 and she is a previous winner on a Dry track. Is probably better on a wet track but is proven over this distance.
(1) Alero likes the 1400m and he has won 4 from 8 races on a Dry track. He has come up double figure odds which is overs and if Logan Bates gets across without using too much energy he can lead for a long way.
(15) Trapdoor WIN
$2.60 (2 units)
