LIV Golf Singapore Betting Tips

Sentosa Golf Club, Thursday 12th - Saturday 14th

Top Picks

Bryson DeChambeau ($13)

DeChambeau’s powerful game makes him an intriguing contender at Sentosa. While the Serapong course rewards precision, its par fives and longer par fours provide opportunities for aggressive players who can overpower sections of the layout. DeChambeau has consistently proven capable of dominating LIV events when his driver is dialed in, and he remains one of the most dangerous scorers in the league. With Smash GC teammate Brooks Koepka having won here last year, the Crushers captain will be confident he can add his own name to the list of champions at Sentosa.

Lucas Herbert ($15)

Herbert’s creative shot-making and aggressive putting style make him a strong fit for the Serapong layout. The Australian thrives on strategic courses where imagination around the greens and precise iron play are required. Herbert has also proven he can handle pressure in LIV events, particularly when birdie opportunities appear late in rounds. With Ripper GC arriving as defending team champions in Singapore, Herbert could be one of the players who leads another charge for the Australian squad.

Value Picks

Elvis Smylie ($36)

Smylie has quickly emerged as one of the most exciting young players on the LIV circuit after capturing his breakthrough victory earlier this season in Riyadh. The confidence gained from that win could prove invaluable as he arrives in Singapore looking to build on his strong start to the year. Smylie’s fearless style and aggressive approach suit the LIV format perfectly, and if he can continue generating birdie chances he could once again contend.

Talor Gooch ($29)

Gooch already knows what it takes to win at Sentosa after capturing the inaugural LIV Golf Singapore title in 2023. His consistency and ability to control his ball flight in windy conditions make him a dangerous contender on this layout. Gooch thrives when he finds rhythm with his iron play, and with his strong course history here he could easily reemerge as a contender this week.

The Field

The early stages of the LIV Golf season have already produced several compelling storylines. Sergio Garcia arrives in Singapore leading the Individual Championship standings after capturing his second LIV individual title in Hong Kong. His Fireballs GC team has also surged to the top of the team standings following consecutive victories, putting them in position to potentially become the first team to win three straight LIV events since the league expanded its schedule.

Elsewhere, Phil Mickelson continues to enjoy a resurgence after finishing third in Hong Kong, his first individual podium finish in LIV Golf competition. The HyFlyers captain now sits 12th in the individual standings and enters Singapore with renewed momentum.

Ripper GC, led by Cameron Smith, return to Sentosa as the defending team champions after last year’s victory in Singapore. With rising young talents like Tom McKibbin, Luis Masaveu and Yubin Jang also making early impacts this season, the depth across the LIV field continues to grow.

The Course

Sentosa Golf Club’s Serapong course is widely regarded as one of the finest championship venues in Asia. The par 71 layout stretches to more than 7,400 yards and combines strategic bunkering, water hazards and narrow landing areas that demand precise shot making. Despite its scenic setting along Singapore’s coastline, the course offers a stern test for even the best players.

One of the defining stretches of the course is the “Dragon’s Tail,” which runs from holes three through seven. This demanding sequence features the course’s longest par four, the 495-yard third, along with the dramatic par-four fifth known as the “belly of the Dragon.” Players must navigate these holes carefully to maintain momentum.

The closing stretch also provides opportunities for dramatic swings on the leaderboard. While the par-four 13th was the most difficult hole last year, the reachable par-five 18th remains the easiest scoring opportunity on the course. With aggressive players chasing birdies late in rounds, Sentosa frequently delivers exciting finishes and could once again produce a thrilling Sunday showdown.
