Race 6: Proven Thoroughbreds Guy Walter Stakes Group 2 1400m - 3:25pm (AEDT)
(1) Manaal: 4YO Mare who has a tidy CV and was good when returning over 1200m finishing second. Strips fitter now and is proven over 1400m. Second up record is near perfect with 3 wins from 4 attempts. Concern is the wide draw and the early market has her $3 out to $3.30. Will be there abouts.
(3) Firestorm: 5YO Mare who is capable of running a handy race, but her record makes it hard to steer punters into having a bet. Unplaced from 4 runs at the track and only won once at the trip from 7 attempts. Draws well and gets the top booking of J-Mac, so can produce a bold run. Each way hope.
(5) Gerringong: Forgive the first-up run. She was tardy away and settled rearward in what turned into more of a hit-out than a genuine winning attempt. Nothing went right, yet she still worked through the line in a manner that suggested there was plenty under the bonnet. She strips much fitter now and the rise to 1400m is ideal second-up, a profile that has suited her in the past. From a sweet draw she maps to enjoy the run of the race, while race-favourite Manaal may have to burn petrol early. The return of Nash Rawiller is a significant positive and with natural improvement and the right map, she looms as a genuine knockout chance at odds.
(5) Gerringong WIN

Race 7: The Chase Surrounds Stakes Group 1 1400m – 4:00pm (AEDT)
(1) Tempted: 3YO Filly who has proven to be a very talented type with an impressive CV. Returned superbly in Group 3 class winning by 1.5L. She has an impressive record at this track only being beaten once. Only knock is she hasn’t notched up a win over this trip. Will be the one to beat though, but happy to let her go at the price.
(3) Ole Dancer: 3YO Filly who we were with when resuming and just got too far back in a slowly run race, but her run was impressive in defeat when savaging the line late to finish second. Draws a nice alley and will only be improving second up. Has shown quite the ability and will be one to watch going forward. At the price id be happy to have a crack with a heavier bet on the place market.
(4) Savvy Hallie: C3YO Filly who won well in the Group 2 Light Fingers last start. Likely to be going on with things and can give punters a shout at odds. Each way play.
(3) Ole Dancer E/W

Race 8: Tab Verry Elleegant Stakes Group 1 1600m – 4:40pm (AEDT)
(2) Sir Delius: 5YO fella who is resuming and has had 3 x trials leading into this first up run and has looked to be ticking along nicely. First up record is very good and will win some races this campaign. Concern is he must find a way to beat the undefeated Autumn Glow. Each way.
(8) Autumn Glow: 4YO Mare who is unbeaten from 9 starts and won well when resuming last start at Group 2 level winning by nearly 3L and looked to still have plenty. Clearly the one they all have to beat. Major player.
(9) Aeliana: 4YO Mare who has returned in tip top order and chased gamely to run second behind the classy Autumn Glow. Further will suit, but will need to lift again if she wants to beat the fav. Each way.
