Randwick hosts a 7-race card on Wednesday with no standout feature race on the card, but plenty of talented types going round, pending conditions. The rail is out 5m for the entirety and conditions are set to be HEAVY with showers predicted, hopefully we see a card, but with the current track conditions and weather ahead there is a chance they postpone or we see a large number of scratchings. watch and monitor.

Randwick Racing Tips: Wednesday, January 21st 2026
Race 3: Spelling At Coolmore Mt White BM64 1250m - 3:30pm (AEDT)
(1) Bavette: Lightly raced gelding with plenty of upside, having notched up two wins and a second from just five career starts. Draws a favourable gate and the booking of Nash Rawiller is a notable push. Has attracted early market support which is encouraging. Conditions pose the only query, but if he handles them, he has the talent to figure prominently.
(3) Concordia Wind: Resuming mare with a tidy CV and a proven fresh profile. Has shown she can perform on heavy ground, which will appeal to punters with the conditions expected. The 3kg claim is a significant bonus and brings her right into calculations. Looks a major player fresh.
(3) Concordia Wind WIN
$5.00 (1 Unit)
Race 4: Tab BM72 1400m - 4:05pm (AEDT)
(1) Canadian Ruler: Honest gelding who got the job done when resuming, showing plenty of fight to hold them at bay. Strips fitter second-up and Nick Heywood sticks, which adds confidence. Proven in the wet and should relish the conditions again. Solid chance to go on with it.
(2) Fiddlers Green: Resumes with a strong first-up profile, boasting two wins from four fresh runs. Clearly enjoys this trip and has no issues with rain-affected going. The booking of James McDonald is a major positive and he’s drawn to get every chance. Commands serious respect.
(4) Copacabana: Early favourite and rightly so after a dominant demolition job last start. Rates extremely well on that performance and Zac Lloyd continues in red-hot form. Hard to knock on and looks a genuine hope.
(2) Fiddlers Green WIN
$4.00 (1.5 Units)
Race 6: Kia Ora Bloodlines To Headlines BM72 1250m - 5:15pm (AEDT)
(2) Huon: Honest campaigner who continues to race well without quite breaking through over this trip. His best form is on heavy ground, having placed every time on it including three wins. Draws well and benefits from a handy 3kg claim. Worth keeping safe at attractive odds.
(3) Monte Kate: Former Bjorn Baker mare who was disappointing on resumption but is typically much better second-up. Gets in nicely at the weights. Draws reasonably and relishes heavy conditions. A genuine blow-out hope.
(6) Ellipsis: Progressive mare who continues to take the right steps through the grades. Finds herself in another winnable race and has proven form on soft ground, with placings on heavy as well. Plenty to like about her profile—market support would be a strong lead.
(3) Monte Kate E/W
$26/$5.50 (0.5U/1.5U)
