The Valley will host a huge 24 hours of racing starting at 6:15pm (AEDT) on Friday night with Moonee Valley Cup night followed by the GROUP 1 Cox Plate which is the last race of the day on Saturday. First things first though I have concentrated on Moonee Valley Cup night with three key bets. The track is predicted to be a Good4 and the Cup is race 7 on the program with the winner likely starter in the 2025 Melbourne Cup. Note there are many dual acceptors racing tonight and punters should monitor the scratchings on race morning. We bring you our best bets for the night below!

Moonee Valley Racing Tips: Friday, October 24th 2025
Race 5: Ladbrokes 55 second challenge series final 955m - 8:15pm (AEDT)
(10) One Hard Lady had barrier 1 when winning over this trip on October 3 and she has drawn the same barrier here again. She is undefeated on a Good surface and Blake McDougall has won on 3 occasions when on tip from 5 steers. Gets a slight weight rise (1kg) but she is tough and is undefeated over the 955m.
(2) Gin A Tonic has been spelled for this and usually runs well fresh. Comes over from the sunshine state after winning well at Sunshine Coast on June 15. Usually settles midfield.
(8) The Showvinist goes better on Good tracks which he gets here. Is first up but did look good winning a Wangaratta trial on October 7.
(10) One Hard Lady Each-Way
$5.50/$1.90 (1 unit)
Race 7: Ladbrokes Moonee Valley Gold Cup Group 2 2500m - 9:15pm (AEDT)
(11) Berkshire Breeze is a good each-way odds in this and gets a preferred Dry track here. He has had 3 runs since a spell and all have been solid with his best effort being a 2nd in the Group 2 Naturalism at Caulfield, 3.5L behind Half Yours, who went on to win the Caulfield Cup last week. The negative is that he hasn’t won in more than a year.
(1) Brayden Star ran 4th in the Moonnee Valley Cup last year and has been set for this. Craig Williams is on and a Good track is his favourite. Settled on speed to win the Herbet Power (Group 2) last start.
(8) Grand Pierro is over the odds and a Dry tracks suits. Ran a good 3rd behind Half Yours in the Naturalism and he was unlucky when 7th in the Bart Cummings last start.
(11) Berkshire Breeze Each-Way
$9.00/$2.60 (1 unit)
Race 8: Treasury Collective Handicap 1600m - 9:45pm (AEDT)
(12) Inncourt comes over from Sydney and Lane has jumped straight on. He is lightly raced and usually settles around 4th in the run which is perect for this race I reckon. Has started favourite in 3 of his last 4 starts and could be fav again.
(3) Cattogio for Waterhouse&Bott has been set for this I reckon and has drawn the rails. Punters will have to see if thats the place to be or if the swoopers are getting the best of the ground out wide. Settles handy and I am tipping him to lead for a long way in this race. First try and the distance and at The Valley.
(6) Presser likes Dry tracks and maps well. Love this distance and has won at The Valley previously.
(11) Jenni The Fox is the current favourite but is a likely scratching.
(12) Inncourt WIN
$4.50 (2 units)
