Caulfield hosts Group 3 Coongy Handicap Day on Wednesday and the Dry tracks continue to be the norm with the lack of rain around, and we should be running on another Good track. While the wet trackers will be annoyed, the firm trackers will be looking to run fast times throughout the day. Race one starts slightly later than normal at 1:40pm (AEDT) and I have concentrated on horses in the quaddie legs which start at 4pm.
Brendan Bunworth brings you his best bets and Quaddie selections below, with odds thanks to Dabble!

Caulfield Racing Tips: Wednesday, October 15th 2025
Race 5: Tobin Brothers Celebrating Lives Handicap 1100m - 4pm (AEDT)
(14) Just Like Gaby gets conditions to suit here again with the Dry ground and she has drawn very well in barrier 2. She has won 3 times on Dry ground and she has won when 2nd up previously. She had a wide barrier (12) but still scored a W last start at Hillside and the extra 100m looks okay this time despite her poor form over 1100m.
(13) Photograph is a good horse but would like a wetter track. Has the form over this distance though and will be running on. Did win a Flemington jumpout quite well on October 3.
(6) Harry Got Styles is big odds at 21-1 and has a good winning strike rate and good credentials on Dry ground. Unlucky last start when 9th at The Valley, has been mixing his form but is one of the fittest horses in the race.
(14) Just Like Gaby WIN
$4.00 (1 unit)
Race 7: Sportsbet Coongy Handicap Group 3 2000m - 5:10pm (AEDT)
(7) Statuario has drawn poorly unfortunately for Emma Lee & David Browne but has run well at this track and on Good ground previously. He was 4th in the Group 3 Naturalism last start after running on well so Yendall might take him back from the draw. He was only 3.8L behind Half Yours last start who is a $3.50 fav for Saturday’s Caulfield Cup.
(9) Thedoctoroflove will get back in the pack and may need a Soft track but has Placed in harder races than this. Is 1 from 1 when third up and is over the odds at 15-1.
(10) Wooton Verni is supported by Waller and Lane so it makes sense to include. Has won twice over the 2000m before and there may be another race for this one in a couple of weeks.
(17) She’s A Hustler is 4th emergency and is the favourite if she runs. Watch for scratchings and if she gains a run she will have to be considered.
(7) Statuario WIN
$6.00 (1 unit)
Race 8: Warren Huntly Memorial 1440m - 5:40pm (AEDT)
(3) Ndola loves Dry ground and the Hayes boys will have him primed for this one. He box seated at and scored the W at Morphetville last start over 1250m and the extra ground looks ideal because he has won over this distance before. Luke Curries rides and he has won on top of Ndola on three occasions and has has gone well when second up previously
(10) Chartres is a frustrating horse to follow but at 26-1 might be over the odds. Usually needs a couple of runs before he shows his best but can bob up at odds.
(12) Sassy Boom was 2.7L behind King Zephyr last start who then ran 2nd on Saturday at this track in a harder race. Likes Dry ground and enjoys the 1400m. Blake Shinn is back on and he has won on top before.
(3) Ndola WIN
$4.40 (1 unit)
