AFL Daily Fantasy Tips 2025: Round 11 Saturday

May 23rd 2025, 2:22pm, By: Heath Chick

AFL Fantasy Tips

A cracking Super Saturday slate of AFL action awaits in Round 11 with a couple of games that could really shape the makeup of the top 8 this season.

We start off with the Blues and the Giants at Marvel Stadium where the loser will be on the brink of their season drifting away. Two heavyweights of the competition will meet at the MCG on Saturday afternoon as the Hawks welcome the Lions. Marvel Stadium will then host a second match for the day as the Roos will be looking to take it up to the Magpies, while our day finishes off in Perth as the Dockers take on the Power.

As always this is all about the daily fantasy and this massive Friday night clash draws another massive $60,000 prize pool at Draftstars in their main contest. In addition, there are a variety of alternate contests:

AFL $60,000+ Saturday

AFL $5,000+ Saturday High Roller ($150 Entry)

AFL $3,000+ Saturday Mini ($2 Entry)

AFL Daily Fantasy Lineup Tips: Round 11 Saturday

AFL Round 11 Saturday: Where to Attack?

The Giants continue to concede big points in the ruck position with Kieran Briggs continuing to struggle. Luke Jackson cashed in last week and we can look to the Blues big men to be a solid choice this week with Tom De Koning returning to the lineup.

Port Adelaide have also conceded massive points in the last couple of weeks with young Dante Visentini holding onto the number one ruck spot. Luke Jackson could again be in for a big night!

Port Adelaide have struggled to contain opposition key forwards this season and Esava Ratugolea is out injured this week. Brandon Zerk-Thatcher comes in, so we’ll have to see how he goes containing the Freo marking threats up forward.

Fremantle are good to target against general defenders as their push up style tends to leave the opposition defenders free to link up. Look to pick off some of the Power defenders here.

The obvious stacking spot is to target Collingwood players who have the best match up of the day against the Roos as nearly six goal favourites. The Roos continue to leak points to opposition forwards of all varieties, so Pies forwards will be a popular play.

As you would expect from two of the best teams in the league, the Lions and Hawks are typically difficult to score against so you’ll have to be selective with your choices from that match.

Game script: Blues/Dockers rucks, Dockers/Magpies forwards, Power defenders

AFL Saturday: Our Value Fantasy Picks

Ed Allan ($6,000) is finally getting a consistent run at AFL level and looks like he has plenty of potential. Scored 57 last week which is around the mark for minimum price, but with a soft match up against the Roos, Allan looks a good value play once again.

Dylan Stephens ($9,350) has been a popular fantasy play in recent weeks but his price is still attractive at under $10k. Stephens had a score of 91 three weeks ago, but has been consistently in that 70-80 point range which is solid.

AFL Saturday: Our Mid Price Fantasy Picks

Blake Acres ($10,870) returns to the Carlton side to assume his position on the wing after battling with a shoulder injury. Acres hasn’t had a great season but he does have ton-plus upside with a 104 earlier in the season against Collingwood. At the price, Acres could be worth a gamble but does come with some risk.

Ryan Burton ($10,930) has put together a couple of solid games since returning to the side with scores of 77 and 86 the last two weeks. The Power have copped a lot of injuries in their defence this season, and with Kane Farrell, Josh Sinn, Lachie Jones and Esava Ratugolea out injured, Miles Bergman moving into the midfield and of course Dan Houston moving on this season, there’s great opportunity for Burton to become a key piece in the Power backline. In 2021-2022, Burton was a valuable fantasy player, and if he can find that hunger for the cheap ball, then he gets a great match up here against Freo to smash value.

AFL Saturday: Our Premium Fantasy Picks

Shai Bolton ($13,080) has recaptured some of his very best form over the past two weeks with scores of 119 and 97. Not only is he hitting the scoreboard but he’s racking up plenty of possessions while he does it, which is great for his fantasy output. The Dockers draw a good matchup against the Power and a big win might see Bolton cash in.

Connor Rozee ($15,820) is my preferred premium on this slate. Since moving to half-back, Rozee has been in excellent form. He demands the ball and can link up all the way down the ground. Fremantle are known for giving up easy ball to opposition defenders, so I expect Rozee to get plenty of cheap +3’s in the back half.
