Warwick Farm Racing Tips: Wednesday, May 7th 2025
Race 4: Cogburn Worlds Fastest Horse @ Widden BM72 – 1000m – 2:00pm (AEST)
(1) Outishka $13/$3.30: 5YO Mare who rocks a pretty tidy record and looks to be another wining chance. She has been freshened up and has a great fresh record. Loves the wet track and gets a handy draw for this today. Stapleford goes well when on top and with his 3kg claim she only needs to carry 58kg which puts her right in this. Will be around the mark.
(2) Negotiations $3.60: 5YO Gelding who went close over this trip/grade last time when resuming. He has trialled twice on the heavy track leading in to this race and now gets the top booking of J-Mac. First up record and record on the wet track is impressive and deserves thought for this.
(5) Struck Gold $3.10: 5YO Gelding who has also had a freshen up and gets in really well at the weights with a 3kg claim engaged. Best work is done on the wet track, so will have plenty of admirers off that alone. Draws pole, so should be getting a nice run.
(1) Outishka E/W
$13/$3.30 (1 Unit)
Race 6: Drinkwise Mile BM72 - 1600m – 3:10pm (AEST)
(5) Villasaurus $10/$2.70: 4YO Gelding who has returned nicely with a first up third and then won well last start when SP’d $1.70 lugging 62.5kgs. He must be considered again for this at the price.
(7) Misterkipchoge $3.60: Tipped this fella last start and he was terrific through to the line. Drops back to the mile now and gets J-Mac back into the saddle to boost confidence. Drawn to effect and looks well placed here. Happy to be on.
(9) Dame Commander $2.60: 3YO Filly who opened at $2.20, but has been easy in the early market. She is drawn well today and her sole win comes from a second up performance. This looks like an easier affair on paper after her run in open class at Randwick only finishing 2L off Lilac. Prefer her back on the dry deck though. Chance.
(7) Misterkipchoge
$3.60 (2 Units)
Race 8: Tab BM72 - 1300m – 4:20pm (AEST)
(1) Bright Red $27.00/$6.30: Roughie of the field who was rather consistent last campaign with a few handy finishes. She resumes today and is yet to score fresh, but gets in nicely at the weights with a 2kg claim engaged. If she can find a handy spot from the wide draw she can be expected to play a role on the wet track. Blow out hope.
(6) Miss Kim Kar $7.50/$2.60: 3YO Filly who notched up three wins in a row before heading to the paddock. Resumed last start and was only narrowly beaten over 1200m in this same class. Strips fitter now and is unbeaten on the wet track. Has to be considered.
(9) Mia Ballerina $7.00/$2.50: 3YO Filly who had been inching closer and closer with her runs and proved too strong last start over 1250m leading for the entirety and winning by almost 3L. J-Mac stays on top and will be looking to go on with it now. Drawn to get a handy run. On top.
(9) Mia Ballerina E/W
$7.00/$2.50 (1 Unit)
