Morphettville Racing Tips: Saturday, April 25th 2026
Race 2: Sportsbet Breeders' Stakes 1200m – 1:16pm (1:46pm AEST)
(1) Ole Go was narrowly beaten by Verzain last start in the Listed Without Fear Sakes (1050m) after covering some early ground while the winner had the rail. The two-year-old colt looks the leader from the inside barrier and should prove hard to beat as he won’t be covering extra distance in this.
(6) Verzain won’t get the favours this time around as she may have to sit outside Ole Go in the run. That was her first win at start number three but she has plenty of talent and could still win.
(7) Wonderful Sky brings Victorian form to the race and she is a last start Pakenham winner over 1100m. Craig Williams picks up the ride and she should be in the first half of the field.
(1) Ole Go WIN
$1.95 (3 Units)
Race 7: Sportsbet Australasian Oaks 2000m – 4:12pm (4:42pm AEST)
(3) Salty Pearl finished third at her most recent run in the Group 1 Vinery Stud Stakes (2000m) when beaten less than a half-length. Prior to that she was the winner of the VOBIS Platinum Guineas (1600m). Trainer Ciaron Maher won this race in 2023 with Affaire A Suivre and will have Salty Pearl primed for success. Barrier three should see her boot through to land handy to the speed and she should run a huge race.
(2) Getta Good Feeling has won her last two starts, the $1 million Inglis Sprint (1200m) and Group 3 Alexandra Stakes (1600m). She is versatile over various distances as shown by her Group 2 Wakeful Stakes (2000m) win during the spring. Should be prominent in the run, ready to strike, and has strong claims.
(10) Savitri has won her last two starts and she looks ready to step up in grade and distance. Her last run was over 1700m and the 2000m shouldn’t bother her. Not sure where she lands from the wide gate but has each-way claims.
(3) Salty Pearl WIN
$5.00 (1.5 Units)
Race 8: Sportsbet Robert Sangster Stakes 1200m – 4:48pm (5:18pm AEST)
(3) Generosity has the powerful combo of Chris Waller and James McDonald and the five-year-old mare won the Group 2 Challenge Stakes (1000m) two starts ago. She then contested the Group 1 The Galaxy (1100m), finishing in fifth place, beaten just 0.37 lengths. It was a brilliant run from the daughter of Divine Prophet and she looks a nice price. Gate one may not be the best but hopefully she doesn’t get buried away as she can let down strongly.
(2) Charm Stone comes out of the Group 1 William Reid Stakes (1200m) won by Jigsaw who has since won The Quokka. Charm Stone is already the defending winner of the race and also the Group 1 Manikato Stakes (1200m) winner. She is high-class and has strong claims.
(4) Benedetta also comes out of the William Reid Stakes, finishing eighth on that occasion. She started her campaign with a third in the Group 1 Black Caviar Lightning (1000m) followed by a sixth in the Group 1 Newmarket Handicap (1200m). Each-way claims at odds in this.
(3) Generosity WIN
$5.50 (1 Unit)
