It wasn't too long ago that TopBetta announced their innovative 'Global Tote' product and now Ladbrokes Australia has signed up as the first Australian sports betting site to back the Global Tote.
The Board of TopBetta Holdings Limited announced that Ladbrokes.com.au - the Australian subsidiary of the UK gaming giant - will begin integrating the Global Tote into their platform from next week, with a launch expected in January.
"We are always looking for an edge and ways to value add through better products and services to our customers," Ladbrokes Australia's CEO Dean Shannon said. "The Global Tote is a solid initiative with significant upside for operators as well as delivering more choices to clients seeking the best odds. We look forward to kicking off as soon as possible."
The Global Tote will be used a replacement for existing racing tote derivatives at Ladbrokes such as 'Best Tote' or 'Best of 4' products. The idea being better liquidity and odds for punters than what Ladbrokes could currently offer with the existing tote pools.
"It's exciting that The Global Tote has its first big corporate bookmaker on board and this new tote will enhance wagering outcomes for not only Ladbrokes Australia, but operators, punters and racing bodies on a global scale," TopBetta CEO Todd Buckingham said.
For those unaware, the Global Tote, in it's simplest terms, is a centralised world-wide wagering pool that will naturally offer better liquidity and margins to punters than the current offering. This will mean less variance on odds and will greatly suit punters - especially those who place big bets and often have their stakes restricted
"No punters will be restricted from betting into the pools and instead will be encouraged to take part," TopBetta said when the Global Tote was first announced.
The news only got better for TopBetta during the week as Racing NSW became the latest racing body to approve the Global Tote. They joined Greyhound Racing Victoria, Racing Queensland, Racing Victoria and Canberra Racing Club.
With offerings of innovative fantasy tournament betting, more racing bodies and leading bookmakers joining the Global Tote, TopBetta is certainly an Australian bookmaker to be watched into the future.
