Knights vs Sea Eagles Predictions & Tips: NRL Round 25 2026

Stating their case

It was another strong performance by the Knights in their 36-26 victory over the Titans at home. The win solidified their standing in the Top 8 and reiterated the talented and desire this team possesses. Despite an inferior share of possession (48%) and completion rate (79%), they managed to make 10.3m per carry, which also lead to 7 line breaks. Relentless in their support of the ball carrier, the Knights continually built pressure. Unfortunately, the fact that they missed 34 tackles meant their opponents scored 5 tries. They will need to be better in this area heading into the Finals.

Foz Fall

The Sea Eagles suffered yet another loss last week, meaning they sit 10th on the ladder and are 6 points adrift of the Top 8. This time, it was a 22-0 home loss to the Dolphins where they were outplayed for the duration of the contest. With no points to their name, they have little excuse other than poor execution as they had the same completion rate (74%) as their opponents with 49% possession. They still ran for 8.9m per carry and made 608 PCM’s but failed to turn this into points. The fact that they had just 1 line break highlights their lack of creativity. It was another poor showing which same them allow their opponents to make 9.9m per carry and 672 PCM’s.

Stats that matter

- These two sides met in Round 2 where the Knights won 36-16. They will be hoping their home ground advantage (54% vs Sea Eagles 26%) counts for something also.

- In the past 5 matches between these two sides, 3 have been decided by 10 points or less, including a draw. Blowout victories drags the average margin of victory to 14.4 points though. The average total points is high, with 52ppg averaged in the same number of matches.

- The Knights have a better attack this season compared to the Sea Eagles, scoring 26ppg to 24ppg. Interestingly, the Sea Eagles have a slight edge defensive, allowing 21ppg compared to the Knights 22ppg.

A close call

A win is coming for the Sea Eagles and the return of Tommy Turbo at fullback provides their biggest hope yet with their Finals chances hanging in the balance. That shouldn’t mean the home side is overlooked; they have earned the right to be thought of as a capable team. They also receive positive news with Bradman best returning to cover the loss of Gagai. You would think that, with their season hanging by a thread, the best version of the Sea Eagles will feature in this game. Losing Walsh doesn’t help their creativity in attack but Faulalo is a suitable replacement. The Knights have enough resilience to counter what their opponents throw at them in attack. They need to ensure they take their chances as the Sea Eagles are vulnerable at times and can be guilty of allowing more than enough chances to their opponents.

With the chance that the visitors could cause an upset and the fact that the Knights can sometimes allow opponents a chance to score points, it’s recommended that you avoid making a direct call on this match. Rather, take the option that either could win. It is expected that each will be a chance of winning with 10 minutes remaining in this game.

Knights vs Sea Eagles Same Game Multi

Leg 1 = Total points over 50.5 – see above for justification.

Leg 2 = Ponga to score – when the Knights have needed him, Ponga has stepped up. This game should be no different as he relishes playing the Sea Eagles, with 4 tries from his past 5 games against them.

Leg 3 = Young to score 2+ tries – his record against the Sea Eagles is more impressive. He has 6 tries in his past 5 games against them and will again be out to ensure he scores more than 1 try after missing out completely last week.

Scooby's strength is assessing the overall team - what they offer across the field in a match and how the ethos of a club contributes to their success. Momentum also has a major impact on sports, and Scooby likes to explore this, while underpinning his judgement against a solid basis of statistical analysis. When combined with the aforementioned points, it combines for a holistic approach towards betting on rugby league.

Other sports he enjoys include Cricket, Horse Racing and NFL. There is a reason why Scooby ‘clicked’ with BYB from Day 1 - he loves his sport as much as we do.
