Horse Racing Tips: Sunday, July 28th

July 28th 2019, 12:42pm, By: admin

Great day of racing coming from Bendigo and Tamworth this Sunday, the 28th of July and we have you covered with previews and betting tips for some of the key races on the card from Luke Krahe below!

Bendigo Racing Tips: Sunday, July 28th

Race 5

A capacity field of 12 for the BM64 staying event over 2400m, (6) Da Deputy is yet to win out of maiden grade but has shown at his last couple that second win is not far away. He won that maiden over this trip back in the Spring, he has had four runs back and although he doesn’t have a lot of brilliance, you know he will keep grinding away. Two starts ago on the synthetic he was very good late after being held-up then came here to Bendigo last time three weeks ago he ran on well from a mile back after fanning very wide to miss by less than a length. Drawn the inside he will need a good steer, but he won’t use up any petrol and if the breaks come, he should be finishing as good as any. There are no stars here, he was well backed last time in similar grade and expect him to be supported again.

Da Deputy to win

$4.00

Race 8

(5) Pereira has only been to the races four times, two this prep, the first of which he won his maiden well when running on well from the back. There has been another winner out of that win their maiden since, so the form should hold up out of that. He then went to Flemington up the straight in a much harder race, settled well back in the run but worked to the line nicely and was only beaten a little over 2 lengths. Back to this class and around a bend, this looks a great chance to get that first win out of maiden grade. He will be giving them a start but the track usually plays fair here. If you want to play a saver (3) Pariano may be the one. She has good speed and gets the blinkers on, she will find this easier than last start and may lead for a long way.

Pereira to win

$2.60

Tamworth Racing Tips: Sunday, July 28th

Race 1

A very low quality maiden to start the day, and we are with a 16-start maiden in the form of (5) Peachies Dream! Before you ridicule me and “virtually” scrunch up the tip sheet, she has placed nine times and this is the easier assignment she has had. She has obviously been very consistent and no doubt the connections are starting to get frustrated, this is her chance. She will come across from the wide gate and hopefuly get some cover from just behind the speed. If she doesn’t win this she may never find the line. The last couple have been good enough at Coffs Harbour and Scone, three back she was here and heavily backed late to fly late to just miss. If there is any money for the first-starter (6) Sandstorm, don’t have him a loser in your books. He has trialed well enough out west and gets gun hoop Aaron Bullock.

Peachies Dream to win

$4.00

Race 6

(1) Arrogante looks a nice type and potentially the best horse in the race, but with the blinkers on for the first time and the extremely wide gate, he looks a good risk. He will be wide throughout and although he bolted in at maiden level two back and was good last time wide off the track without cover, the big field should see him cover plenty of ground. (10) Raided was well backed to win his maiden here on debut, he was very green throughout and looked to have plenty to learn. He was slowly away again at start two here at his home track, ran on well again to narrowly miss the placings when well in the betting. He has had three weeks between runs but has been kept sharp with a recent trial win, it may have just been a move to sort out his gate issues he had at his first two starts. Drawn well, if he gets away with them, I can see him running over the top of them late.

Raided E/W

$6.50
