Another slate of Saturday greyhounds betting tips coming at you this weekend as we take a look at some of the key races of the night at both The Meadows and Wentworth Park below!
The Meadows Greyhound Tips
Race 4
Tornado Tears has a mortgage on the Group 1 Fanta Bale Super Stayers Final (725m) tonight and the odds reflect that at $1.30. I wouldn’t recommend anyone dive into the short quote so we will have to look for a rival to run into the money behind the champ instead. Double Gee chased home Tornado Tears in their heat last week. He finished 7.5L behind Tornado Tears and I can’t see him turning the tables unless Tornado Tears meets severe interference. Double Gee looks the second most likely winner of the race, or at least the most likely placegetter behind the favourite, with Black Impala my third pick in the race.
Race 6
A terrific edition of the Group 1 TAB Australian Cup Final (525m) which sees $4 the field if you ignore second emergency Poke The Bear who is unlikely to gain a start. Dyna Patty, My Redeemer, Bago Bye Bye and Miss Splendamiro can all show early speed and I have to give the advantage to those drawn close to the rail. My Redeemer is the reigning Melbourne Cup winner and his 29.71 heat victory was good when beating Shima Breeze. He has won five of his past eight starts and wins 50% of the time over his career. This field has plenty of depth as the market indicates but I had to settle on one of them and My Redeemer gets the nod from box two at $4.80.
Wentworth Park Greyhound Tips
Race 1
Tap Out Strop looks a strong chance of capturing the opening event which is a Grade 5 event. He scored at Richmond last time in 30.85 over the 535m which is much quicker than the average winning time for a fifth-grade race there. He is a good beginner and his chances skyrocket if he can cross main danger Public Speaking at the start; that dog is drawn inside him but I think Tap Out Strop can make it back-to-back wins.
Race 3
A mixed 4/5 over the 720m and the price looks good for White Sox Ethics who is no stranger to chasing home some of the better stayers in the country. Three starts ago she was third when beaten 3.75L by Blue Moon Rising. She boasts the fastest time over track and distance in the race with 42.19 and her experience over the longer journey will help her against race favourite That’s Lil Vicki who has been racing over the 610m at Grafton. She has to be a query over the 720m so happy to take her on.
