Flemington will host Saturday racing in Melbourne this week and on a cool afternoon, with gallopers racing on a soft track. We get things underway with Race 1 at 11:55am (AEST) and the distance race starts us off over the 2500m distance. It’s just a moderate meeting with the Country Racing Trophy the feature in Race 8.
Brendan Bunworth has done the form to bring you his three best bets for day as well as his Quaddie selections. If you’re after more free tips for this weekend’s key meetings, then head over to our Racing Tips page!

Flemington Racing Tips: Saturday, June 7th 2025
Race 3: Country Racing As Real As It Gets Plate - 1pm (AEST)
(3) Cindy Falls has drawn well in barrier 2 and she should go well here second up. She races well on rain affected tracks so will want rain on the day and she has proven herself over this distance and at this track previously. She ran on well at Sale first up when 3rd and Flemington should suit her get back racing pattern better. We will go Each-Way. With a few backmarkers in this race and with her having a good draw, she may even settle closer here.
(6) Stylish ran on quite well at Caulfield despite finishing 7th and she carries 2kg less in this race. Won well at Bendigo first up when it was the first start for the Hayes stable.
(12) Jazz Affair gets weight relief but will want the rain to stay away. She is fitter now and should race well again second up.
(3) Cindy Falls E/W
$5.50/$2.10 (1u e/w)
Race 7: 2025 Country Achiever Eric Musgrove - 3:20pm (AEST)
(1) Nonconformist drops in class here but has to carry the top weight which won't be easy so we will go Each-Way. Ran 4th in a Group 3 at Morphettville last start but he wasn’t beaten too far on that occasion. Before that he had a three jumpouts and a trial and he should be hard fit. Can he get back to career best form like he did a couple of years ago? Who knows, but the Begg stable has had a good year and their gelding has won three races over this distance.
(9) Townsend may lead this but a Soft track is a slight query. He has placed twice over this distance and comes into this fresh. Jumped out here two weeks ago and looked good when running 2nd.
(12) Euphoric goes good on wet tracks and will be running on at the end. Drops weight for this race but is unproven over this distance. Talented but hasn’t won in 18 months.
(1) Nonconformist E/W
$7.50/$2.40 (1u e/w)
Race 9: VRC Country Race Sprint - 4:34pm (AEST)
(12) Pivot City was midfield in the run but unlucky last start when 10th when favourite so it may pay to forgive that run. He has won twice over the 1200m previously and this will likely be his third race in a row when starting favourite. He is a Flemington winner and that was over this distance up the straight six as well. Harry Coffey goes on for the first time.
(3) Rheinberg goes good fresh and is resuming here for Hayes. First try over the 1200m so will probably want more ground but handles Good and Soft tracks so conditions won’t matter.
(16) True To Form may go better on Dry ground but gets weight relief for this. First try at Flemington so a Place bet might be the go.
(12) Pivot City
$3.70 (2 units)
