Flemington will host a nine-race program on Saturday with gallopers to be running on a Soft surface. The first of the day gets underway at 12:20pm (AEST) with the three-year-old’s going around, while our best bet of the day comes up in race three with the consistent Cindy Falls going around again. Other key bets on the day include horses in races four and nine on the program.

Flemington Racing Tips: Saturday, August 3rd 2024
Race 3: Donate to RDA Australia - 1:30pm (AEST)
(3) Cindy Falls has won 2 of her last 5 starts including winning at this track two starts back and arguably should have won another race in the campaign. She is 1 from 1 over the track & distance and she gets the services of Blake Shinn which is a positive. From barrier 1 she will likely settle closer in around 4th position in the run and she should get the run of the race.
(2) Belle Et Riche I have tipped on here many a time but she has failed to fire. This race is easier though and she should Place. On July 6 Cindy Falls beat her by 1.3L and I think they could quinella the race at a good price,
(8) Divine Purpose will be running on from the back and if they go hard early, she can roll them. She is fitter now and did win at her only attempt over this distance.
(3) Cindy Falls E/W
$4.80/$1.90 (2 Units)
Race 4: Jockeys Celebration Day Sprint - 2:05pm (AEST)
(3) Midtown Boss is first up after a three month break and he has won twice when first up before. He has a very good win/place strike rate and the Laurie trained Gelding is tactically versatile in his race so it doesn't really matter where he ends up midrace and he has won previously when carrying a big weight. He likes Flemington and this is one of his preferred distances.
(1) Veloce Carro has won twice previously at Flemington and drops in grade after running on nicely from the back in the Listed SantaAnna Lane last start (beaten 3L).
(4) Home Rule may take up the running in this one and would have been a winning chance if the track was wetter. Can still place though because he likes this distance.
(3) Midtown Boss
$2.60 (3 Units)
Race 9: Victorian Jockeys’ Association Sprint - 5:02pm (AEST)
(9) Dazzling Lucy never gets beaten far and when she does it has been in harder races than this so I think she is value in this. Barrier 15 in the last race of the day might be an advantage too and her jumpout in between runs was solid. She runs well when fresh and she has had a mini-break leading into this. Lucy hasn’t won in 18 months but signs were promising last start at Rosehill when running on. (Heavy track).
(8) Kiko won in an easier race than this last time but has measured up in this grade before. She is very consistent and has had a change of stables. Shinn on is a plus.
(2) Bews likes Soft tracks and was beaten a nose when well supported last time at Morphettville. He will be running on from midfield and connections will be hoping he doesn't get caught wide like he did last start.
(9) Dazzling Luzy E/W
$8/00/$2.60 (1 Unit)
