Flemington Racing Tips: Saturday April 25th 2026

April 24th 2026, 2:05pm, By: Brendan Bunworth

Flemington Racing Tips

Flemington will host Anzac Day Saturday racing this week with a competitive eight race program on offer for punters. After a warm week the track will remain a Good4 and the first race starts at 1pm (AEST). The meeting is usually a popular one and the VRC St Leger is race six on the program. The Peter Armytage Handicap is another good race and that comes up in race seven on the card. My three best bets are below.

Flemington Racing Tips: Saturday, April 25th 2026

Race 1: TAB We’re ON 2500m - 1pm (AEST)

(8) Bluestone put in a good run On March 21 at Caulfield over 2400 meters.  He settled midfield on that occasion and ran home very well to be beaten by half a length behind Zulu Angel. This is harder but it looks like the gelding is looking for this distance. He enjoys racing on dry tracks and he is very consistent for Michael Kent.

(9) Kurakka is having his fourth run of the preparation and he also looks like he's ready to run over the longer trip. He settled midfield at Caulfield last start over 2400 meters and ran to the line very nicely, beaten only one length.

(4) The Western Front is racing well and is a last start Caulfield winner after coming from well back. He hasn't done any good at Flemington as yet but a dry track helps for Luke Currie who takes the ride for the first time.

(8) Bluestone WIN

$3.40 (2 units)

Race 3: ANZAC DAY Stakes 1400m - 2:10pm (AEST)

(1) Blind Raise was favourite on debut when winning well at Lakeside. That win was on a Dry track and the margin got out to 2.3 lengths in the end. It's her second start for Trent Busuttin&Natalie Young and I think she can go on with it with Beau Mertens on top. She has drawn barrier five and I think Mertens might position her up in third or fourth position early.

(2) Seraphox was 7th on debut at Randwick but followed that up with a very good win at Warwick Farm last start. He was well backed on that occasion and the two-year-old colt is a clear favourite for Cairon Maher and Declan Bates.

(3) Drumfire is a runner from the Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott stable and the Farnan/ Can't Get Enough colt had a look at Flemington last week in a barrier trial (3rd). He has a first and second to his name in New South Wales. Sure to have support.

(1) Blind Raise WIN

$3.10 (2 units)

Race 6: VRC ST Leger 2800m - 3:55pm (AEST)

(1) Deal Done Fast is in an easier race here after finishing eighth at Randwick last start.  He was last on that occasion but over the final 400 meters made up a little bit of late ground to suggest that the extra 400m won't be an issue.  Before that run Damien Lane was also on top when he settled well back but remained near the back of the field when defeated by Autumn boy.  This is a Listed race but it is easier.

(16) Silavista is a filly that also runs on very well in her races.  On March 14 she finished second at Caulfield over the mile and then finished well back at Morphettville.  Last start she was down in grade and got the money over 2200m

(2) Dad And Dave was running well at the start of the year but has finished well back in his last couple.  Harry Coffee goes on top and he drops one kilogram and he should be fitter being third up.

(1) Deal Done Fast WIN

$4.20 (1 unit)
