Esports Betting Tips: CS:GO and Dota2 – Wednesday, April 15th
Alliance vs Team Secret
ESL One Los Angeles 2020 Dota2 Online: Europe & CIS
After a poor start, Alliance seemingly found their stride and are now set to face their toughest opponent yet in Team Secret. Looking back Alliance lost to NiP (1-2) and Team Spirit (1-2), but pocketed hard-fought wins over Liquid (2-1), Unique (2-1) and most recently they swept NaVi (2-0). Team Secret on the other side proved to be the most dominant team of the tournament, having won all of the five matches played, however, it seems like these European juggernauts are slowly running out of steam, as evident from their shaky 2-1 wins over Chicken Fighters and Team Spirit. The question here is what can Alliance do and can they possibly defeat Team Secret? Should Team Secret underperform again, and if Alliance can continue improving, we just might see an upset win. It might be a bit too optimistic to expect it, but it can surely happen.
In the end, it will all come down to which version of Alliance we will see here. While we can hope the underdogs will impress and produce an upset win, it’s far more realistic to predict Alliance will chip one map off the shaky Secret.
Team Liquid vs Ninjas in Pyjamas
ESL One Los Angeles 2020 Dota2 Online: Europe & CIS
This match holds no importance for Team Liquid, who are out of the playoffs race and have already cemented themselves at the bottom of the league table with a 0-5 record. The fact that this squad failed to defeat a single opponent in five games, is laughably bad and a very serious reason for concern. The online format might have had something to do with Liquid's iffy performances, but there is really no way to justify their poor run. NiP, on the other side, are still in the race for the playoffs ticket, however, they will need to win here, as losing will guarantee they will not be finishing amongst the top-four.
Although neither side managed to prove anything so far, we have to side with NiP. The urgency to win should inspire efficiency and while NiP failed to look too strong this tournament, it’s Liquid who we can’t trust will move any mountains here.
Team Secret vs Illuminar
CS:GO LOOT.BET Season 6
Both teams are coming into the match with 1-1 record; Secret won against AGO and lost against Winstrike, while Illuminar lost their opening match against Endpoint, but bounced back with a win over SMASH. The current roster of Illiminar played just a total of two games, both going into the third map. They defeated (2-1) Smash (who were playing with a stand-in) and lost to Endpoint (1-2). Team Secret have won four fixtures out of the last five played, including wins over AGO, Singularity (twice) and BLUEJAYS, although they failed to see the same success against Winstrike in the previous round of LOOT.BET Season 6.
From the looks of it, this match looks like a complete "coin-toss" and the odds don't look good enough for us to recommend an outright bet. Based on what we have seen so far, we can probably expect sloppy play from both teams, which means a three-map series is on the cards. Bet on Over 2.50 Maps.
