Virtus.pro vs Sinners
ESL Pro League Season 14
Virtus.pro are 0-2 after two rounds of play at ESL Pro League Season 14. They have already lost to OG (0-2) and were just as unsuccessful against forZe, who beat them 1-2.
Sinners, on the other hand, shocked the world on the opening day of play with a 2-1 victory against one of the tournament favourites, G2 Esports. They won the opening map with 16-11 on Vertigo, G2 struck back on Inferno with 16-10, but Sinners managed to seal the deal on Mirage, 16-9.
In their second match of the tournament, Sinners lost (0-2) against a very mediocre Complexity, who beat them with 12-16 on Vertigo and 14-16 on Nuke.
There are no H2H matches between these two teams. While Sinners did great to beat G2 on day 1, they also lost against a team that is competing with a stand-in and a new player. Virtus.pro might not be in the best of form, but they are still a very good team who need to defeat Sinners if they want to progress!
The odds are mostly based on recent results, but it is important to not overreact to the results from matches that were played straight after the player break! Value bet on Virtus.pro to sweep the Sinners!

OG vs forZe
ESL Pro League Season 14
OG and forZe have yet to taste defeat in this tournament. OG swept Virtus.pro (2-0), with 16-11 on Mirage and 16-6 on Dust 2, and were just as successful against G2 Esports, who they beat with 16-10 on Mirage and 16-5 on Inferno.
As for forZe, they won (2-1) against Complexity, with 16-12 on Mirage, 12-16 on Nuke, and 16-9 on Ancient. They also beat their local CIS rivals, Virtus.pro (2-1), with 16-7 on Mirage, 13-16 on Dust 2, and 16-12 on Overpass.
The last time these two teams met was about a year ago at DreamHack Open Summer 2020 Europe, where OG won 2-0, with 16-10 on Nuke and 16-14 on Mirage. That result, however, doesn't mean much, considering both teams went through multiple roster changes.
The bookmakers are expecting a victory for OG, but I anticipate a much closer affair that has the potential to be the most exciting match of the day. Both teams are in good form, and while OG are definitely the better team, these post-player break fixtures can prove to be quite messy.
ForZe will need some luck in the map vetoing stage, and if they can get their hands on Mirage, Overpass, and Ancient, they should have a solid chance to win! Value bet on forZe!
G2 vs Complexity
ESL Pro League Season 14
Prior to the tournament, G2 were billed as one of the top three teams to lift the trophy. But so far, all they have done is disappoint.
First, they lost (1-2) against Sinners, which you can forgive them for since it was their first match after the player break. Then they lost (0-2) against OG, which again is not as surprising as it may seem; OG can be very strong on a good day.
Complexity predictably lost their opening match 1-2 against forZe, but then they pleasantly surprised with a 2-0 victory against the high flying Sinners! However, I am not sold on this team just yet.
Instead of replacing Justin "jks" Savage, Complexity decided to kick Will "RUSH" Wierzba from the team, which makes no sense - It seems like jks is allowed to perform like a bot and keep his spot in the team. Complexity are also without Kristian "k0nfig" Wienecke, who is undergoing wrist surgery and has been replaced by a journeyman Niels Christian "NaToSaphiX" Sillassen, who is an obvious downgrade
G2 need a win, and they should feel confident in their chances to grab one on Tuesday. They're one of the top teams at the tournament and will face a team that just made a roster change and are playing with a stand in. G2 should close this one in two maps!
