Esports Betting Tips: Monday, April 13th

April 13th 2020, 1:38pm, By: Mark Prezelj

There are some fantastic matchups in the world of esports this Monday night and into Tuesday morning! See our best bets from the CS:GO and DOTA2 platforms below!

Esports Betting Tips: CS:GO and Dota2 – Monday, April 13th

Alliance vs Natus Vincere

ESL One Los Angeles 2020 Dota2 Online: Europe & CIS

Neither side managed to impress thus far at ESL One LA, yet with 2-2 records, both NaVi and Alliance are still in the race for a playoffs berth. Natus Vincere picked up two wins against Unique and Chicken Fighters in the opening two rounds, but fell flat against Team Secret and most recently Ninjas in Pyjamas. Alliance, on the other side, picked up wins over Liquid and Unique, but failed to see the same success against Ninjas in Pyjamas and Team Spirit.

Not only have Alliance and NaVi the same 2-2 record, but they also looked very equal in the quality of their performances, which leads us to believe this match will be a complete coin-toss. The last time these two sides met was in January at DreamLeague Season 13, where Alliance won 2-1. Historically NaVi and Alliance match up nicely, as most of their games, tend to be close and there is no reason to believe that will change here. This match can go either way, so siding with the underdogs is the only reasonable thing to do while betting on over 2.5 maps is also something to consider. Expect Alliance to pick up a 2-1 win.

Ninjas in Pyjamas vs Team Unique

ESL One Los Angeles 2020 Dota2 Online: Europe & CIS

Team Unique are entering this fixture with a 1-3 record to their name, which they earned with a win over Team Liquid (2-1), and losses against NaVi (1-2), Team Spirit (1-2) and most recently Alliance (1-2). Ninjas in Pyjamas, on the other side, won two of their fixtures against Alliance (2-1) and Natus Vincere (2-1) but failed to see the same success against Team Secret (0-2) and Chicken Fighters (1-2).

Looking at those results, Ninjas in Pyjamas look slightly stronger, but it's hard to undervalue Unique's performances, as they seem to put up solid resistance against any team they face. While Unique are not a team we can expect will make a deep run this tournament, they should at least keep NiP on their toes - not so much because Unique are that strong, but rather because NiP clearly need some more time to adapt to their roster changes. What's more, Ninjas in Pyjamas' results tend to be very inconsistent and until they find some stability in their roster, they will be prone to dropping maps even against weaker teams such as Team Unique.

Khan vs Team Empire Hope

Parimatch League Season 2 Relegation

Perhaps not one of the biggest Dota2 competitions running at the moment, but there is something about this match that doesn't seem right. Khan and Team Empire Hope are two CIS Dota2 teams that are slated to meet in the second round of Parimatch League Season 2 Relegation Group B fixtures, where winning will be crucial for both sides as they look to secure a top-two seed and secure a spot in the Parimatch League S3.

The problem we have with this match is that Khan are priced as heavy favourites, at 1.60 over Team Empire Hope who are priced at 2.24 to walk away with the spoils. Looking at their head-to-head record, however, reveals Team Empire Hope are the stronger team. Khan met with Empire twice in late-March at Epic Challenger League Season 1 and Empire Hope won both fixtures with 3-1 and 2-0 score respectively. What's more, Empire also defeated Khan at SIGUL Pro League a week earlier with 2-1 scoreline. In fact, Khan won only two out of their six meetings with Empire Hope, which date back to January 2020. No team has made any roster change since their last three meetings and it's also worth noting that Khan are entering this bout following a 0-2 defeat against Team Unique. Odds should be the other way around, so this is a no-brainer pick for us. Side with Empire Hope to secure a comfortable win against Khan, while those looking for higher odds should consider backing Empire to pick up a clean sweep.

Victory Five vs Top Esports

LPL Spring Split 2020

The final competitive week of League of Legends Pro League (LPL) will see Top Esports chase a crucial victory against the underperforming Victory Five, who have not won a single match this season. Given their disastrous run this season, it's very unlikely they will pick up one W by the end of the week and it's even more unlikely they will do so against Top Esports, who will be highly motivated to win here.

It's worth noting that Top Esports have dipped in form recently, and are entering this bout with a two-game losing streak in their hands. They first fell against World Elite and later dropped the ball against Bilibili Gaming, which is not all too promising, considering both are in the lower half of the table. It's also worth noting that the 2018 World Championship titleholder Yu "JackeyLove" Wen-Bo has yet to play for Top since his arrival at the team at the start of April, and if he gets a chance to step into the Summoner's Rift here, you can be sure Top Esports will have no issues picking up a clean sweep.

Endpoint vs OFFSET

ESEA MDL Season 33 Europe Relegation

Although Endpoint lost three out of the last five matches played, it's worth noting that the teams they faced were much stronger compared to OFFSET. Endpoint defeated Singularity and AGO in a best-of-three (Bo3) matches but lost one Bo1 match against AGO and two Bo3 matches against SKADE and North.

After three months of competitive hiatus, the Portuguese are back with two Spanish reinforcements in Miguel "driftking" García Bermell and Carlos "sc4rx" Sánchez, who arrived from the Spanish CS:GO team WILD. They are well respected in their region and are getting some solid results against the teams of the same calibre, but continuously playing against lower-rated opponents will leave them unprepared to face a stronger team such as Endpoint. In all fairness, the difference in quality indicates this should be a cakewalk for the UK squad, as it's hard to expect anything else than a 2-0 win for the Brits. Endpoint are one of the top favourites to get into the season of MDL and a strong showing against arguably the weakest side in the tournament will be crucial to lift their spirits following an underwhelming run. Bet on Endpoint to win 2-0
