ESEA MDL Season 31 Australia enters Week 5 with more entertaining matches on the horizon. Featuring matches between teams that still have a lot to prove, Week 5 promises to be an exciting one to watch, as we just might be in for a couple of upset wins.
Jade vs Chiefs Esports Club
Jade will take on Chiefs in the first ever head-to-head matchup between these two teams. What we expect to see is a clear difference in skill and teamplay between these two teams and I can hardly imagine any other result than an easy win for Chiefs. They have a great roster, a mix of young talent supported by older and experienced players, while Jade have a 15-year-old in their ranks and their most experienced player is barely 20 years old.
Chiefs have lost only one match in last five played, 2-0 against Grayhound, which is nothing to be ashamed of, as they are clearly a superior team. On the other side, they beat ORDER, SYF, Paradox and Fanta.
Jade are currently only playing in the ESEA MDL Season 31, where they managed to win four matches out of eight played. They are ranked three places below Chiefs in 9th place.
The match will be played on Inferno, which favours Chiefs, as they have won 58% out of 12 matches they played on this map. Jade, on the other hand, have managed only one win out of five played on Inferno. All in all, a complete mismatch and no chance for a win from Jade, who should not stand a chance against Chiefs.
Fanta vs Athletico BH
Both teams are coming into the match in bad form. Fanta won only one match out of seven played in this league, while Atletico won three out of six played, two of which they did not really win per se.
As mentioned previously, Fanta are not in great form. They lost the last five matches played, 16-3 against Paradox, 16-9 against Rooster, 16-5 against Chiefs, 16-9 against Downfall and 16-10 against Ground Zero. They are currently only playing in the ESEA MDL Season 31.
Athletico have three wins on their record this season, but in reality, they only won one match against DINQ. The other two wins came from evicted and Content˙s forfeits. As for their ESL Australia & NZ Championship Season 8 campaign, they finished in 7th place, with only two wins out of five matches played.
As we mentioned, neither of these two teams managed to impress us with their performances, as they are currently going through a bad spell. That leaves the door open for a possible upset and looking at the odds, the $5.00 on Fanta is a no-brainer as I firmly believe Fanta have a legitimate chance to win this one.
Dinq vs Justice
Looking at this matchup, it looks very similar to the match between Fanta and Athletico BH, as both teams suffer from bad form and the odds are not what they should be.
Both DINQ and Justice are exclusively playing only in the ESEA MDL Season 31 Australia and their results are just terrible. DINQ are sitting at the bottom of the table after failing to win any of the eight matches played. Justice on the other side seem slightly better, as they are ranked 12th with three wins to their name.
The match will be played on Mirage, and so far neither of these two have claimed a victory on it yet. DINQ played three matches on Mirage, losing against Paradox, Ground Zero and SYF, while Justice lost only to Paradox. From what we can see, this looks like a neutral map and both teams look pretty much the same in terms of skill and team play, despite the difference on the leaderboard. With that in mind, the odds offered on DINQ are far too high for a match that should be a toss-up.
