Sandown Hillside

Race 1 - Champagne Ready / Top Of The Range EW

Race 3 - Kevin's Time (Best Bet)
Race 4 - The Dynamo
Race 5 - Wutai Mountain
Race 6 - Grand Dreamer
Race 7 - Data Point
Race 8 - Grey Street

Best Bet: Race 4  - Kevin's Time

Won well on debut before being sent from a spell. Pulled up with dirt in his throat first up but bounced back by charging home into 2nd from a long way back last start at this track. Up in distance and looks hard to beat.

Best Value: Race 2 - Violate

Tricky race with plenty of these returning as three-year-olds (always a query) and some handy types engaged. Damien Oliver booked to ride Violate catches the eye and his debut win was impressive enough to suggest he goes okay. No public trials leading in here but Oliver riding is a pretty strong hint. 

Canterbury

Race 1 - Paragon
Race 2 - Glenall (Best Bet)

Race 5 - Pianissimo EW (Best Value)
Race 6 - Rockafella
Race 7 - Typecast

Best Bet: Race 2 - Glenall

Not ideal putting a best bet in a race full of debutantes but Glenall's trial form has been very good. Tango Rain measured up in a good race and this colt's most recent trial win was by 5 lengths so looks ready to win on debut from a good gate.

Best Value: Race 5 - Pianissimo

Tipping a big day for Chris Waller and this may be one at juicy odds for him. This gelding only won a maiden at Kembla last start but defied plenty of traffic in the straight to win in good style with a big weight. Rory Hutchings rides so the horse isn't as fancied but his win last start suggests he can go well here at $11.

Best Bet: Race 2 - Northern Lass

Charged home first up so the slight rise in trip will suit her here. Draws perfectly and think she is clearly the one to beat.

Best Value: Race 8 - Jim's Journey

Gone with Cavaloche to win the Cup but don't discount Jim's Journey. Very talented and although he is looking for further he showed first up that he's come back in good style.

Sunshine Coast

Race 3 - Stellar Knight (Best Value)
Race 4 - One Mansini (Best Bet)
Race 5 - Chamalu
Race 6 - Aderito
Race 7 - Solar Burst

Best Bet: Race 4 - One Mansini

Won a maiden well two starts back at Eagle Farm before finishing off well in a CLass 2 last start. Drops back to a Class 1 and should get all the favours from the inside draw.

Best Value: Race 3 - Stellar Knight

Very open race but has returned this prep with two runner up finishes. In with a 3kg claim once again and can give this a good shake at $8.50.
