Cannington Greyhound Tips: Monday, March 25th

March 25th 2019, 3:34pm, By: Trent Orwin

After some quality Group 1 greyhound racing over the weekend, Cannington hosts another 12-race card tonight (Monday, March 25th)!

We've picked out our four best bets on the program for tonight below.

Race 1 is set to jump at 6.03pm WST (we've also listed the race times of our four selections).

Cannington Greyhound Tips

Race 2 - 6.27pm WST

Tyson Gundi looks a strong chance on the back of a 15.97 victory last start. He led from box one with a first split of 5.56. If he can begin like that again he should be able to get across the three dogs drawn to his inside. No rival has broken 16.20 before for the 275m here which means Tyson Gundi has run a time that is four lengths faster than his opposition. He has only had six career starts also and has managed to win from box six which is another reason I really like his chances. Waylon Gundi looks the main danger.

Tyson Gundi

$2.30

Race 4 - 7.04pm WST

A really competitive fourth-grade event where the inside four greyhounds have an advantage. I’m going with Tyler Keeping from box two. He continues to be the bridesmaid with four runner-up performances from his past five starts. The last three have been from boxes eight, five and six respectively. An inside draw could provide a change of fortune for the consistent chaser who has won six times and been placed a further 14 times from 31 starts. He should settle in the first two from the box and will run a good race.

Tyler Keeping

$3.60

Race 5 - 7.24pm WST

Last start was career-best for Mystery Guess with a 21.99 for course and distance. He will be one of the quicker beginners and if he can kick up and hold them out early, he will take some catching. He hasn’t missed a podium in five attempts when drawn the red rug but has only won one of those. His run two starts ago was also very good when recording a 22.24 behind Quara’s Beth. Expect him to prove hardest to beat in this race.

Mystery Guess

$2.20

Race 7 - 8.00pm WST

Oriental Owen should prove hard to beat in the FFA tonight but the price doesn’t appeal at $1.70. Instead, Kaos Be Cool should be able to run a good race at nice odds. He won an FFA at Mandurah last start over the 302m in 17.18. Prior to that he had a pair of fourths and a pair of seconds to his name at Cannington. His last meeting with Oriental Owen was a half-length difference and I wouldn’t be surprised to see Kaos Be Cool turn the tables on the favourite. Sin City Boy also has strong claims here in what should be a good race.

Kaos Be Cool

$7.00
