The final day of the BBL10 season is upon us as we see a massive triple header of matches from the Adelaide Oval. With the last couple of finals spots still up for grabs there is everything to play for here today so you can guarantee we are going to see some awesome cricket to cap off another successful season.
The second match of the day will see the Melbourne Renegades take on the Hobart Hurricanes. The Renegades unfortunately will only be playing for pride as they sit at the bottom of the ladder thanks to a poor season. The Hurricanes on the other hand, desperately need the win to guarantee themselves a spot in the top five and will be keen to find some winning form at the right time of year.

Match Prediction
In a match where one side needs to win for a spot in the finals and the other team sits last and has nothing to play for, it is hard to tip against the Hurricanes here. They have found some much-needed late season form. Thanks to some quality hitting from D’arcy Short and Matt Wade, the Hurricanes kept their season alive on Sunday Night with an upset victory over the Sydney Sixers.
The ‘Canes will take a massive amount of confidence out of that match considering the Sixers have been the top team for most of the competition. It was great to see Matt Wade score some runs and he looks a pivotal part of the Hurricanes chances if they are to do some damage in the finals.
The Hurricanes have their fate in their own hands and will secure a spot in the finals with a win here in Adelaide this afternoon. A performance similar to that the other night will see them surely go close against a side who have been disappointing from ball one this season. The Renegades have only won a dismal 3 matches all year and I can’t see them getting themselves up and about for the last match.
History is also on Hobart’s side having defeated the Renegades the last four times these two teams have come up against each other. I think the desperation from the men in purple will be too much for a Renegades team who will be looking forward to the season being over.
Melbourne Renegades Prop Bet
Strong performers have been few and far between all season for the red of Melbourne but there has been one man who has continually fought hard and performed well. Shaun Marsh is a crucial part of the Renegades setup and he has been in good touch all season. With skipper Aaron Finch in diabolical form it will be up to Marsh to shoulder the load here and I’m keen on him to top score.
Marsh also loves playing against the Hurricanes. He has passed 30 runs the last seven times he has played against Hobart, which is an incredible run of form against a single team. So while scores have been hard to come by recently, the opening batsmen will be keen to face up against one of his favourite sides to play against and looks a great chance to go big here.

Hobart Hurricanes Prop Bet
We were rewarded for sticking strong with Matty Wade the other night as he blasted 86 off 44 balls to lead his time to a huge win against the ladder-leading Sixers. Wade and Short put on one of the biggest partnerships of the season scoring 145 runs to open the innings and help chase down 181 runs.
Now that Wade has got a score I am confident he can go on with it and make his impact felt in this competition. In a must-win match the class of Wade will be on display as he looks to lead the Hurricanes into the finals and gain a bit of momentum.
He looked in great touch the other night and has made a habit of scoring big runs in back to back matches. The Renegades bowlers have been belted around all season and will be licking their wounds as they prepare for a break. Wade will get the first crack at the bowlers and only needs to occupy some time at the crease for him to go big again.
