The Demons looked destined for finals after securing fantastic wins over the Magpies, Kangaroos and Saints within the span of four weeks, however, they looked deplorable against the Swans in their last game, going down by 21 points in a horror loss.
The Demons now sit one game outside of the top eight and have a pretty tough run home with games against the Dockers, Giants and Bombers to come in their last three weeks. They’ll need to win at least two of these games, most likely three to have a chance at playing finals.
Clayton Oliver has made a habit of playing big games against the Dockers in recent history. In his last three against Fremantle, the midfielder has racked up 29.7 touches per game and kicked three goals. He has cleared the 25 disposal mark in his last two games and eight out of 14 games this season.

The Dockers have had some really impressive performances this season but have ultimately looked a step or two off the pace. They have lost their last two on the trot to quality sides in the Giants and Tigers but have a good opportunity to bounce back against an out of form Melbourne side here.
They are well and truly out of the finals race but will be hoping to end the season on a high note with winnable games against the Kangaroos and Bulldogs following Monday night.
The Dockers top two performers throughout the last five matchups between these two clubs have been Lachie Neale and Brad Hill, who are both no longer at the club. Someone needs to step up in their wake and throughout the last season and a half that has been Michael Walters. The mid/forward averages just under 20 touches per game and has kicked 6 goals in his last four games against the Demons and is a tough matchup for a Demons midfield that lacks pace.

Like the look of the over here. The Dockers went through a bit of a patch where they had a solid lockdown defence but seem to be playing with a bit more freedom over the last few weeks. They have allowed an average of over 70 points in their last two games and the Demons are capable of putting up big scores when the conditions suit as they did in back to back wins over the Roos and Pies a few weeks ago, averaging 96 points over the two games.
There is a few showers forecast throughout the day in Cairns on Monday but in 27 degree weather, we expect that to dry out and conditions to be pretty good come game time. Back the over here which sit’s at just 105.5 points.
