Welcome to another AFL Super Saturday with just the three games this week, reduced from our usual slate of four, thanks to the bye rounds getting underway.
We start things off with the Suns looking to cement their place in the top four as they welcome the Dockers to People First Stadium. The afternoon game will see the Giants looking to get a big win against the Tigers while the Swans and the Crows meet at the SCG to wrap up the day.
As always this is all about daily fantasy and this Saturday slate draws another massive $50,000 prize pool at Draftstars in their main contest. In addition, there are a variety of alternate contests:
AFL $50,000+ Saturday
AFL $5,000+ Saturday High Roller ($150 Entry)
AFL $3,000+ Saturday Mini ($2 Entry)

AFL Daily Fantasy Lineup Tips: Round 12 Saturday
AFL Round 12 Saturday: Where to Attack?
The obvious way to attack this slate is to stack the Giants. They are nearly 8 goal favourites against the Tigers who concede massive fantasy points to the opposition across the whole ground.
There’s probably no need to over-complicate things, other than trying to find suitable points of difference to give you a unique lineup compared to the field who are doing the same thing.
If you want to look at the other games, the rain could create an interesting situation on the Gold Coast. It should suit the ruckmen, however Jarrod Witts has easily been the toughest ruckman to score against in the competition, and there's a fair degree of job sharing going on for both teams in that position.
Fremantle do give up points to opposition defenders, but conditions may not suit outside run.
Adelaide are notoriously tough to score against for fantasy points, but Sydney do concede above average points to inside midfielders.
Game script: Giants stacks
AFL Saturday: Our Value Fantasy Picks
Campbell Gray ($6,000) / Dean Rampe ($6,000) both look reasonable plays at minimum price in defence. Gray has only played two games for the Tigers but hasn’t looked out of place with a handy 54 last week. Rampe is at the opposite end of his career, and although he’s had three poor weeks in a row, he was quite solid earlier in the season with seven scores 65+ and a high of 79 which is more than acceptable at this price point.
Sam Berry ($9,260) finally got a full run at it last week for the Crows and smashed out a score of 123. Sure, it was only against the Eagles but Berry always has a solid base as he’s a tackling machine. The Swans give up above-average points to inside mids so this match up should suit Berry and if he’s given the role again, he should hit value for us.
AFL Saturday: Our Mid Price Fantasy Picks
Jesse Hogan ($12,890) might be primed to go large here against the lowly Tigers. And if he’s on, he’s hard to stop! Hogan has bags of 7 and 9 goals this season, and we’ll be looking for him to ton up here with another big bag.
Toby Greene ($13,580) is going to be a popular play this week after his sensational 28 disposals, 3 goals and 133 fantasy points last week. Greene enjoyed jumping into the midfield with the absence of their first-choice midfielders, and he may play a similar role this week against the lowly Tigers. However just note that Josh Kelly has been included to bolster the midfield. Greene’s price looks good and you can take him as a mid or forward.
AFL Saturday: Our Premium Fantasy Picks
Matt Rowell ($14,230) has been very good the last two weeks and if there’s rain around on the Gold Coast, then he’s the inside bull I want on my team. Rowell had 15 tackles last week which boosted him to a 130 fantasy score, and we’re hoping for the same again here.
Toby Nankervis ($15,200) comes into this off a massive 150-point score last week against Tristan Xerri that featured 47 hitouts and 13 tackles for Nank. It’s worth noting that Xerri scored just as well, as there were a huge number of stoppages in that game that benefited both rucks. Nankervis has been largely mediocre this season, but it’s really hard to recommend another ruck on this slate. Fremantle/Gold Coast are job sharing, and Sydney/Adelaide looks like a stalemate. Nankervis gets the gun matchup against GWS who have leaked points to opposition rucks so hopefully another big one for Nank.
Here's our Suggested Draftstars Team Lineup for AFL Round 12 Saturday

Weather Report for Saturday, May 31st
Gold Coast - Rain, 19 degrees
Sydney - Partly cloudy, 18 degrees
Heavy rain is expected on the Gold Coast on Saturday with up to 30mm reported as possible. This will create extra stoppages to suit ruckmen and inside midfielders. High marking forwards become less valuable. Watch the weather report closer to the start of the match and adjust as needed.
