Another massive Friday night slate awaits us on Draftstars with $60,000 guaranteed in prize money to be won in their main contest and more tickets into the $1 million AFL Star!
Our feature matchup this Friday night is “Dreamtime at the G” between traditional opponents Essendon and Richmond on the MCG. This seasons spectacle is more for the celebration than the competitiveness of the football with both teams sitting outside the eight, but it is always a special occasion. Essendon will still have plenty to play for as they are tied on points with the team sitting in eighth place.
As always this is all about the daily fantasy and this massive Friday night clash draws another massive $60,000 prize pool at Draftstars in their main contest. In addition, there are a variety of alternate contests:
AFL $60,000+ Bombers vs Tigers
AFL $5,000+ Bombers vs Tigers High Roller ($150 Entry)
AFL $3,000+ Bombers vs Tigers Mini ($2 Entry)

AFL Daily Fantasy Lineup Tips: Round 11 Bombers vs Tigers
AFL Bombers vs Tigers: Where to Attack?
Essendon have been giving up the most points in the league to inside midifelders this season, which opens up the opportunities to include Tigers players. At the other positions, we will be looking to load the Dons.
Richmond, despite their position on the ladder have not been routed from a fantasy perspective by opponents mids. They are still giving up above average points but only just at over 1 point per game. It is across half back where the Bombers should take advantage, as the Tigers have been haemorrhaging points this year to attacking half backs and the designated kicker. They are giving up the most points in the league to both roles by a wide margin, conceding 12 points above league average to attacking half backs and over 11 points above league average to the designated kicker.
Game Script – Essendon backs / forwards, Richmond midfielders
AFL Bombers vs Tigers: Our Value Fantasy Picks
Samson Ryan ($6,000) will take the lead ruck role for the Tigers this week with Toby Nankervis being rested. He hasn’t had many opportunities as the sole ruckman, but has showed enough to offer a return at this price point, including a 75 point game against Collingwood late last year. Anytime someone starting the ruck is minimum price, they are in play, and his dual position means that we can stack him up with his opponent.
Todd Goldstein ($10,010) is a shadow of what he was in his prime, but he still has plenty in the tank to dominate young Samson. Playing as the sole ruckman, he has already showed a few positive fantasy returns this season with a 79 and 92 point game from four matches. This will be by far his best matchup yet and I expect a 100 point ceiling is in play here.
AFL Bombers vs Tigers: Our Mid Price Fantasy Picks
Sam Banks ($10,890) has slid nicely into Jayden Short’s role this last two weeks and with Short still out this week, Banks is in play in what should be a very juicy game for half backs (Essendon give up above average points to general defenders and the designated kicker). Over the last two weeks without Short in the lineup, Banks has racked up back-to-back scores of 93 and 87 fantasy points.
AFL Bombers vs Tigers: Our Premium Fantasy Picks
Nic Martin ($15,820) is back to his elite fantasy scoring form of last year playing all over the ground from back to wing to forward. His last six games have included four games over 105 fantasy points, and three over 121. This is the best matchup of the them all, and the entire league, for the role he is playing with the Tigers getting destroyed by wings and attacking half backs. Lock and load.
Tim Taranto ($14,800) is still the Tigers lead inside midfielder and while his fantasy output isn’t at his peak of two years ago he has still consistently been in the 95-100 point range. He demonstrated tournament winning upside with a 120-point game a few weeks back and this will be the best matchup in the league for inside midfielders.
