2026 PGA Tour: Travelers Championship Betting Tips

June 23rd 2026, 7:13pm, By: Andy Rosos

PGA Tour Travelers Championship Betting Preview

The PGA TOUR's final Signature Event of the season takes place this weekend as the world's best head to Connecticut for the Travelers Championship at TPC River Highlands.

Coming directly off the U.S. Open at Shinnecock Hills, players face a vastly different challenge this week. Instead of grinding out pars on one of golf's toughest layouts, the focus shifts towards aggressive scoring on one of the shortest courses on the PGA TOUR schedule. With a stacked field and 700 FedExCup points on offer, expect another highly competitive week despite the quick turnaround from the year's third major.

PGA Tour Travelers Championship Betting Preview

TPC Ricer Highlands, Thursday 25 - Sunday 28 June

The Field

Fresh off his U.S. Open victory, Wyndham Clark arrives as one of the hottest players in world golf. Clark has now won two of his last four starts, including the CJ Cup Byron Nelson and his second major championship. His improved putting has transformed his game this season and he enters Connecticut full of confidence.

World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler will once again command plenty of attention after another strong major championship performance. Scheffler fell short in his pursuit of the career Grand Slam at Shinnecock Hills but still managed a top-four finish. The Texan has won at TPC River Highlands before and owns three consecutive top-six finishes at the venue.

The field is loaded with star power beyond the two headline acts. Cameron Young, Matt Fitzpatrick, Russell Henley, Collin Morikawa, Tommy Fleetwood and Xander Schauffele all make the trip north, while defending champion Keegan Bradley returns looking to win the tournament for the third time in four years.

The Course

TPC River Highlands is one of the shortest courses players will face all season, measuring just 6,844 yards and playing to a par 70. Length off the tee is far less important here than precision iron play and taking advantage of birdie opportunities.

While scoring is generally low, the closing stretch remains one of the most exciting on TOUR. Holes 15 through 17 wrap around a four-acre lake and can create dramatic leaderboard swings late on Sunday afternoon. Risk-reward decisions are plentiful and no lead is ever truly safe.

The course has produced some memorable moments throughout its history, including Jim Furyk's historic 58 in 2016. Defending champion Keegan Bradley won at 23-under-par last year, while players will likely need to reach at least 20-under again this week if they hope to contend for the title.

Xander Schauffele

Perspective is everything with Schauffele. From the outside, he's continuing to produce elite results nearly every week he tees it up. From his perspective, he likely feels as though he hasn't seriously contended enough. The Travelers Championship has been one of his better stops over the years, however, with a victory in 2022 and five top-20 finishes in seven appearances. His complete all-around game should once again thrive at TPC River Highlands.

Russell Henley

Henley never seriously challenged at the U.S. Open, which could prove beneficial compared to players coming off an emotionally draining week at Shinnecock Hills. The recent Charles Schwab Challenge winner finished runner-up here last year and now boasts five top-20 finishes at the Travelers. His accuracy and elite approach play make him a perfect fit for this layout.

Alex Fitzpatrick

The younger Fitzpatrick brother continues to impress in his rookie season. He's the only tournament debutant among our selections, but lack of experience hasn't slowed his momentum. Since winning the Zurich Classic alongside brother Matt, Fitzpatrick has added three top-10 finishes and two more top-25 results. His confidence is growing every week and he looks capable of another strong performance.

Ben Griffin

Griffin's consistency over the last two months deserves serious respect. With two podium finishes, a top-10 result and multiple additional top-20s, he continues to place himself in contention. He finished T14 here last season and his excellent mid-range putting remains one of the strongest weapons in his bag. If the putter warms up again, Griffin could easily outperform his price point.
