LIV Golf Andalucia Betting Tips
Real Club Valderrama, Thursday 4 - Sunday 7 June
The Field
All eyes will be on Joaquin Niemann, who arrives as arguably the hottest player in LIV Golf. The Chilean collected his eighth LIV Golf title with victory in Korea and continues to strengthen his claim as one of the most dominant players in league history. Having already tasted success in Spain before, Niemann will be confident of adding another trophy to his collection.
Spanish fans will have plenty of local heroes to support, led by Jon Rahm and Sergio Garcia. Rahm remains one of LIV's biggest stars and will be eager to erase memories of last year's heartbreaking near miss, while Garcia returns to one of his favourite venues with extensive knowledge of every corner of Valderrama.
Defending champion Talor Gooch also returns after producing one of the most memorable victories of the 2025 season. Meanwhile, players such as Bryson DeChambeau, Tyrrell Hatton and Carlos Ortiz arrive looking to build momentum before heading to Shinnecock Hills for the year's third major championship.
The Course
Real Club Valderrama is considered by many to be the crown jewel of the LIV Golf schedule. Originally designed by legendary architect Robert Trent Jones Sr., the course first opened in 1974 before undergoing extensive enhancements under owner Jaime Ortiz-Patiño in the 1980s.
The venue's reputation was cemented when it hosted the historic 1997 Ryder Cup, becoming the first continental European course to stage golf's most famous team event. Since then, it has remained a staple of elite professional golf and consistently ranks among the best courses in the world.
Valderrama is not long by modern standards, but its narrow fairways, overhanging cork trees, strategic bunkering and notoriously difficult greens create one of the toughest examinations in golf. Players who drive accurately and control their approach shots tend to thrive, while aggressive tactics are often punished quickly.
Top Picks
Joaquin Niemann
Fresh off another LIV Golf victory in Korea, Niemann continues to separate himself as one of the league's premier performers. Now an eight-time LIV winner, his combination of elite ball-striking and confidence makes him an obvious contender on a course that rewards complete control.
Tyrrell Hatton
The fiery Englishman has quietly put together another excellent season and his precision-first game is perfectly suited to Valderrama. Hatton's ability to grind through difficult scoring conditions makes him a genuine threat on one of the toughest layouts on the schedule.
Value Picks
Sergia Garcia
Few players in the field know Valderrama better than Garcia. The Spaniard's experience, local support and comfort on this demanding layout make him an appealing value option, particularly if windy conditions arrive.
Carlos Ortiz
Ortiz continues to deliver consistent performances for Torque GC and has shown he can contend on demanding courses. His accurate driving and steady iron play should translate well to Valderrama's strategic setup, making him an intriguing sleeper pick this week.
