NBL Round 18 Betting Tips
Illawarra Hawks vs Brisbane Bullets
Thursday 7:30pm AEDT, Win Entertainment Centre
The Hawks have found some of their best form at the perfect time and enter this round having won each of their last three and eight of their last 10 games. They’ve had a difficult schedule over the last couple of weeks, which makes their current winning run all the more impressive. The Hawks are now two games clear inside the top four and have firmed as one of the key contenders.
The Bullets have had a tough season from start to present and unfortunately that means they’ll miss the playoffs once again. They were unable to get the job done against the JackJumpers at home in their most recent outing and haven’t recorded consecutive wins since the middle of January.
The Hawks are by far the better team in this matchup and their chances of winning only increases with this clash being on their home deck. The Bullets may have got the better of them in their only meeting so far this season, but I expect the Hawks to avenge that loss in a big way on Thursday night.

Adelaide 36ers vs Tasmania JackJumpers
Friday 7:30pm AEDT, Adelaide Entertainment Centre
The 36ers recorded a somewhat rare win last start when they trumped the Phoenix by eight points. They put up 100 points in that game for the first time this season, which tells you a lot about how dysfunctional their offence has been for the most part. The 36ers are 7-13 on the season and will finish among the bottom four in the standings.
The JackJumpers have been a real surprise packet in their first season in the competition and are still are puncher’s chance of making the top four. They certainly aren’t going down without a fight, showcased by their five wins from their last six outings, three of which were on the road. The JackJumpers remain two wins outside the top four.
It’s been an even series to date between these teams with the score tied at 1-1 after both teams won one meeting MyState Bank Arena. The series now heads to Adelaide for the first time and the 36ers will start as the slight favourites as a result, however, the current form of the JackJumpers is far superior and i’m happy to be with them at a nice price here.

Tasmania JackJumpers vs Sydney Kings
Sunday 1pm AEDT, MyState Bank Arena
The JackJumpers will look to keep their season alive when they host the Kings on Sunday. They enter this clash having won each of their last three and six of their last seven games. Most recently, the JackJumpers were too strong for the 36ers on the road, defeating them by eight points and moving within just one win of the top four.
The Sydney Kings have been the hottest team in the league over the last couple of weeks and enter this clash off a stellar 22-point win on the road against the Wildcats last outing. Incredibly, that was their ninth straight win and tow of their last four have been by double-figures. The Kings are now third on the ladder and just one win behind first.
The season series between these teams is currently tied at 1-1 after both teams defended home court. However, the Kings have been simply sensational of late and thoroughly deserve to be the favourites in this contest. I have them bagging their 10th straight win and pushing for 1st in the standings.
