NBA Betting Tips Thursday 18th November

We had a huge day on Tuesday with our NBA betting tips and are back on Thursday to keep the ball rolling. Catch our best spread and player prop bets for the big 11-game slate right here and good luck if following!

NBA Betting Tips: Thursday, 18th of November

Indiana Pacers at Detroit Pistons

Little Caesars Arena, 11am AEDT

The Pacers may be coming off a loss against the Knicks last time out, but it was another strong performance in what has been a good patch of form for them over the last couple of weeks. The Pacers are 5-3 from their last eight and all three of their losses have been by eight points or less and against playoff teams from a season ago.

The Pistons enjoyed a rare successful road trip last week where they went 2-1 with wins over the Rockets and the Raptors. However, they came crashing back down to reality in their return home against the Kings where they were destroyed by 22 points. Inconsistency is likely to plague this young roster all season long, which will be sure to test fans patience.

Six wins from their first 15 games isn’t the way the Pacers would’ve wanted to start the season, but they look to be hitting their straps now and should be able to take care of this young and inexperienced Pistons outfit. We’re happy to be on them to cover the spread despite being the travelling side.

Indiana Pacers -6

$1.85

Cleveland Cavaliers at Brooklyn Nets

Barclays Center, 11:30am AEDT

The Cavaliers were unable to make it back-to-back home wins over the Celtics but they certainly weren’t disgraced in their six-point defeat last time out. Defence has been a hallmark of their early success this season and they’ve remarkably now kept their opposition under 100 points in four straight outings. They enter this Thursday slate having won six of their last eight games.

The Nets went into their Wednesday morning clash with the Warriors as the slight favourites but were absolutely blown off the court by Steph Curry an co. They certainly missed Joe Harris’ spacing on offense as they simply couldn’t find any open looks against the Warriors rampant defence. The Nets have now lost five games this season and all of those have been by 13+ points, which is a cause for concern for coach Steve Nash.

The Nets will be hoping to bounce back quickly on the second night of a home back-to-back, but we suspect they won’t find it as easy as what the market currently tells us. The Cavs have been competitive in every game they’ve played this season, never losing by more than a dozen points, which is a trend we expect to continue for the foreseeable future as they continue to play hard and refuse to give in.

Cleveland Cavaliers +10.5

$1.95

Houston Rockets at OKC Thunder

Paycom Center, 12pm AEDT

The Rockets are on a big streak at the moment and not the good type. Since beating the Thunder in their second game of the season, the Rockets have lost 12 straight games and 10 of those have been by double-figures. They were expected to struggle being such a young team that haven’t played much basketball together, but there are no excuses for the lack of effort they showed in their most recent loss against the Grizzlies where they gave up 136 points.

The Thunder are another really young team that are only in the infancy of their rebuild, but they’ve already shown some signs of improvement from the beginning of the season. They’ve lost their last two games against the Heat and the Nets by comfortable margins, but before that they’d won four straight and five of their last seven, which is a fantastic return.

The Rockets may have beaten the Thunder by a big margin earlier in the season, but they’ve been nothing short of embarrassing since that win and will be extremely low on confidence as a result. We’re expecting the Thunder, who have been really solid over the last couple of weeks, to be too strong over 48 minutes and to deliver the Rockets their 13th straight loss.

OKC Thunder -3.5
