Merry Christmas to all our wonderful followers. Hangovers may be present, but so will be the NBA on Boxing Day where we’ve got a juicy five game slate to sort through. As usual, we have a full preview and betting tips for some of the key games of the day below. Oh, and happy holidays!
NBA Betting Tips Boxing Day
Milwaukee Bucks @ Philadelphia 76ers
6:40am AEDT
The Bucks come into this clash with a 27-4 record, which is the best in the league. Led by the Greek Freak, the Bucks have looked near impossible at times and come into this away game having won 21 of their last 22. They bat extremely deep and manage to win games even when Giannis has one of his rare off nights.
The Sixers have also been good this year with wins in 22 of their 32 games. Unlike the Bucks, they have struggled for consistency at times and have an obvious need for shooting in their backcourt. What the Sixers do have though is plenty of length and a very healthy record at home (15-2), which they will be counting on when they host the best in the business.
While the Bucks are clearly the better of the two teams at the moment, the home record of the Sixers does level the playing field somewhat. However, we’re still keen on Giannis dominating this matchup and flexing his guns on one of the biggest games of the year. We’d be very surprised if he doesn’t have a big night against the Sixers.

Los Angeles Clippers @ Los Angeles Lakers
12:10pm AEDT
The Clippers started off the season relatively slowly but have since come on pretty well with Paul George and Kawhi Leonard coexisting nicely. They’re now 22-10 on the season and look very much like the contenders we all thought they’d be. They’ll also be at full strength for this Boxing Day clash for the first time all season.
The Lakers started the season a lot stronger than you’d have though considering they were pretty much an entire new team. LeBron James and Anthony Davis have been a hand in glove fit and have a chemistry that usually takes seasons to achieve. The Lakers currently lead the stacked West at 24-6 but do have a few niggling injuries at the current time.
This should be a very entertaining match and we aren’t going anywhere near the head to head market. Instead, we’ll be attacking the points overs for LeBron, who has proven time and time again that he shines brightest when the spotlight is on. James to get 30+ looks a very nice play in this matchup.

New Orleans Pelicans @ Denver Nuggets
2:40pm AEDT
The Pelicans have been one of the most disappointing teams this season and certainly shouldn’t be featuring in the Boxing Day slate. They have a dismal 8-23 record and although they’re coming off a win against the Blazers last time out, they’re a team that won’t see much success this season.
The Nuggets have been doing what we all expected and are there abouts after a couple of months of action. The Joker entered the season out of shape but has worked his way into some great form, leading the Nuggets to a 21-8 record, which sees them sitting in second spot in the West standings.
This is the last of the games on Boxing Day and very may well be the worst. We can’t see any reason why the Pelicans will be competitive here and are more than happy to back the Nuggets in to win this very comfortably.
