After seven weeks of action, the inaugural AFL Women's League season is set to come to an end this Saturday as we preview and offer 2017 AFLW Grand Final betting tips! Those that followed my premiership tips before the season will be happy to find that the $15-1 Brisbane Lions are in contention. They are slight favourites over the Adelaide Crows to take out the AFLW Grand Final which takes place as AFL Round 1 is beginning. Let's take a closer look at the game!
2017 AFL Women's Grand Final Betting Tips
Who: Brisbane Lions vs Adelaide Crows

There is no point saying much about the venue debacle as everything has been said already. Despite a bit of (deserved) anger from the Brisbane camp, ultimately I don't think it will have an effect on the result with the Lions still having all the fan support on the Gold Coast.
Brisbane's road to the Grand Final was extremely impressive. Until last week when the drew with Carlton, they had won six games in a row. Last week may have even been a different result if they hadn't already locked up the top spot on the ladder. They won by an average of 13 points in their six wins, with their largest margin being 34 points against the Giants. They scored 224 points throughout the season and conceded just 148.
Adelaide managed 5 wins during the 2017 AFLW season, losing to Brisbane by 3 points and Melbourne by 2 points - both in the last three weeks. They were a chance to miss the Grand Final after Melbourne won their game last week, but were really brave to get a victory over the Pies and secure their spot. Adelaide were the highest scoring team of 2017, putting up 291 points which included the largest single round score of 70 points (last week). They conceded 185 points throughout the season, which although a fair way behind the Lions, made them the third best defensive unit.
The Lions and Crows played eachother in Round 5 with Brisbane getting the win 33-30 in South Australia. The Crows actually had 2 more scoring shots than the Lions and dominated most of the key stats, including time in possession, tackles, contested possessions and more. The Crows also crushed the Lions in the ruck, winning the hitouts 38-18. Much of this would suggest that Adelaide will be a very, very tough opponent for the Lions, but ultimately the Lions have been able to get the job done which can't be forgotten.
Despite having backed the Lions to win the Grand Final in the preseason, I actually think the Crows are the value this weekend - which means I am ultimately hedging my bets. However, even if that wasn't my situation, I think I would be betting on the Crows to win the 2017 AFLW Grand Final, with a small saver on either team by under 15 points. The Lions have been a great defensive team this season, so I can't see the game blowing out either way and by betting both these markets, you can scoop when the Crows win by 15 or less, and some return on your investment when the Lions win by 15 or less.
