2016-17 EPL: Week 13 Preview & Betting Tips

November 23rd 2016, 8:03pm, By: C.McGregor9

The 2016-17 EPL season continues this weekend and Chelsea have moved to the top of the table after a six game winning streak. Continue reading for our EPL Week 13 Preview and Betting Tips.

Burnley vs Manchester City (Saturday 11.30pm AEST)

The home side suffered a loss in their last start but they definitely would be happy with their current position on the Premier League ladder. The side is sitting in 12th spot on the ladder. Unfortunately for the team they haven’t found their goal scoring touch this year and have one of the worst goal scoring records in the league. Their defence had been solid leading into their last start but their good efforts in previous games counted for nothing as West Bromwich defeated them 4-0.

Meanwhile Manchester City returning to winning ways last weekend with a hard-fought 2-1 win against Crystal Palace. The side definitely isn’t playing at their best but they will be able to earn the win this weekend. The side has far too much class and quality players across the pitch and we are predicting them to be winning at both breaks.

TIP: HT/FT – City/City - $1.83 at Sportsbet

Liverpool vs Sunderland (Sunday 2am AEST)

Sunderland’s hopes have been revitalised after back to back victories that has seen them move off the bottom of the table. They earned a big 3-0 win on the weekend against Hull City and they will be looking to continue that form. However, they face a tough challenge this weekend as they face a Liverpool side that is looking to get their title charge back on track.

The Reds were held to a disappointing 0-0 draw as they failed to score for the first time this season. The side has the most goals scored this year of any side and we are predicting them to put a world of hurt on the Sunderland side this weekend and they will come away with a comfortable victory.

TIP: Liverpool at the line (-2.0) - $2.15 at William Hill

Chelsea vs Tottenham (Sunday 4.30am AEST)

The Spurs fans had all but given up hope against West Ham last weekend as they were trailing 2-1 with just minutes remaining in the match. Step up Harry Kane. The English striker put two past the Hammers to crush their souls and give his side the three points. They will need him to again step up to the moment this weekend as they are facing a side that hasn’t conceded in their last seven starts and they will need him at his goal scoring best.

Chelsea started the season with a lot of doubt at the back but they now have the second best defence in the league, behind only Tottenham. However, their attack is far more superior and there overall play is getting week by week. All great runs need to come to an end at some point and we are predicting these two strong defensive sides to end this match by splitting the points in a low scoring affair.

TIP: Chelsea / Tottenham to Draw $3.65 with CrownBet

Manchester United vs West Ham (Monday 3.30am AEST)

The Red Devils were the better side in their match against Arsenal on the weekend and had a 1-0 lead with minutes remaining in the contest. However, the side allowed a late equaliser and they would have been crushed as it would have got their season back on track while damaging Arsenals.

Meanwhile, West Ham suffered a worse loss as they not only allowed an equaliser but a winner against Tottenham. The team hasn’t been able to reach their heights from last season and we are predicting their poor form to continue. David de Gea is one of the best goalkeepers in the league and we can’t see the West Ham players who are struggling to find the back of the net putting the ball by the Spanish keeper.

TIP: HT/FT - Man United/Man United - $2.15 at Ladbrokes
