Race 4: Brave Smash @ Yarraman Park BM72 - 1000m – 2:35pm (AEST)
(1) Romeos Choice $3.60: 5YO Gelding who resumes today and has had a handy trial win leading in. He gets lobbed with 64kg, but with the 3kg claim he gets back in as genuine hope. Draws pole position and has a tidy first up record. Last time he resumed was in this company and wasn’t all that far away. He can handle all tracks, so expect him to be right in the finish here and will take catching from pole.
(4) Zaragoza $5.00: 5YO gelding who has been terrific in his last three runs not missing the quinella and that includes a win 2 runs back at Kembla on the wet track. He looks to be a genuine wet tracker and will have admirers again today. Rock hard fit and Latham has a nice record on top.
(7) Elegant Empress $7.00/$2.30: 5YO Mare who got the chocolates last start over 900m at Newcastle comfortably on the heavy track and to go with it she has a handy wet track record. She will only be improving fourth up and gets a gun booking of Ashley Morgan this time out. Draws nicely and will be hitting the line strongly. Value.

Race 5: Castlevecchio @ Arrowfield BM72 - 1400m – 3:10pm (AEST)
(2) Mortlake $7.00/$2.30: 4YO Gelding who debuted in Australia last start and wasn’t all that far off them albeit finishing midfield. He has never placed first up from his three careers runs, so only expecting him to improve off that effort now. Goes well second up and Josh Parr steers for Bjorn BAKER which is a dangerous combo. Drawn to effect and can play a role.
(7) Believe In Angels $4.80: 4YO gelding who is on the quick back up and strips fitter now fourth up. Average in similar class last start at Randwick, but gets back to Warwick Farm now where he has a nice record, so expect improvement. Handles the wet track nicely, so will be around the mark. Sniff.
(10) American Starlet $4.60: 4YO Mare who has already gone $6.50 into $4.60 in the early market which suggests she is going to be hard to beat here. She is second up after running on intently last start over 1200m in this grade, so the extra 200m looks ideal now. Nock stays on and claims 2kg which puts her in nicely. Will be hitting the line. Danger.

Race 7: Tab BM64 – 1600m - 4:20pm (AEST)
(6) Unusual Prospect $4.80: 4YO Gelding who has built a nice little CV from his three career starts. Dominant maiden winner over the mile first up at Gosford winning by 1L lugging 60kg at $1.50. Remains at the mile and with the wet track form he has to be considered again. Will need some luck from the wide draw being the only concern. Major player.
(8) Sister Daae $5.50: 3YO Filly who broke maiden last start reeling her opponents in nicely to score on the line. That performance suggest the mile wont be an issue here. Has trialled since that win and looks to be on the up. Chance.
(12) Sound Banker $5.50/$2.15: 3YO Filly who destroyed her rivals first up on the heavy deck which shows she will relish these conditions. Gets a lovely draw and booking of Ashley Morgan. Some early market support boosts confidence and should be able to go on with it now. Value.
