Try TopBetta Tournaments with our AFL Round 13 Freeroll - win share of $500!

June 23rd 2015, 1:29pm, By: admin

Winning from a bookie is one thing, but beating your mates on the punt is even better.

That’s why betting tournaments are so much fun and what makes TopBetta one of the most unique and interesting sportsbooks in Australia.

The Before You Bet team have been playing TopBetta Tournaments this year, from racing to AFL and NRL, and we want more of our readers to get involved. That’s why, thanks to TopBetta, we are running the Before You Bet AFL Round 13 FREEROLL Tournament.

The event is open to all our readers and cost nothing to enter and features a $500 prize pool. All you have to do is either already have a TopBetta account, or you can click here to sign-up and get involved in the tournament. This is a great way for punters to try out a betting tournament for the first time and an even better way to prove you are one of the best punters going around.

For those that might not understand how betting tournaments work, they are basically like a poker tournament, but instead of chips, you get a virtual bankroll called ‘BettaBucks’.

Each player in the tournament starts with the same amount of BettaBucks and then, in this instance, must try and build up as much of a bankroll as possible by betting on any and/or all of the AFL games for Round 13.

The starting stake is $1,000 BettaBucks and bet amounts and bet types can be anything you want. Some punters go for ‘all or nothing’ strategy, trying to run up their virtual bankroll with big bets, while others like to put lots of small bets on. Just like in a poker tournament there is no exact right or wrong way to play, but there are certainly ways for you to get an edge over your opponents.

We are also happy to announce that for the first time in history we will be live reporting a betting tournament! This will be done in the vein of poker tournament live reporting and will simply be a fun way for everyone involved in the tournament to sweat the action.

Be sure to hit us up on Twitter (@Before_You_Bet) and stay tuned to find out more information regarding our regular updates from the freeroll tournament this weekend!

Just click on the banners here at Before You Bet, open your account and start being part of the TopBetta community. You can also read more about the site, and how tournaments work, on our TopBetta review page.
