The final match at Rolland Garros will see world number 1 Jannik Sinner play world number 2 Carlos Alcaraz in the Men’s French Open Final. This matchup is turning into one of the great rivalries in the sport and fans get to enjoy another installment when the match gets underway on Sunday night at 11pm AEST.

The final everyone wanted is here. Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner are set to face off for the French Open title in a blockbuster matchup. This isn't just another final on the famous clay of Paris; it's a showdown between the two guys who have taken over men's tennis. Their rivalry has already produced some classic matches, and now it hits the biggest stage. For a generation raised on the Nadal-Federer-Djokovic epics, this feels like the official beginning of a new chapter. It’s a perfect clash of styles: Sinner’s relentless power against the creative, all-court game of Alcaraz.
Sinner has cruised through the tournament looking deadly efficient. The Australian Open champ has been cool and collected, using his clean, powerful hitting to take apart everyone he has played. Making his first final in Paris, Sinner has proved his game works on any surface and he'll be feeling confident. He has clearly worked hard to master the sliding and defence required on clay, making him a true all-surface threat.
Standing in his way is Carlos Alcaraz, a player who seems born to play on this stage. The four-time major champion has once again wowed the Paris crowd with his explosive shots and smart tactics. His game, particularly his killer drop shot and heavy topspin forehand, feels perfectly suited to the slow clay, and he plays with an infectious energy that makes him a true crowd favourite and a formidable opponent.
Even though both guys are at the top of their game, their recent matches and the clay court give Alcaraz a real edge. The Spaniard has won their last four meetings, including an epic five-setter in last year's semi-final right here. He also leads Sinner 3-1 in their career matchups on clay. That brutal five-set war of attrition, filled with momentum swings, showed that Alcaraz knows how to dig deep and win when the pressure is at its absolute peak. You can expect his comfort on clay and his mental edge in this rivalry to be the difference as he toughs out a win against Sinner to grab the French Open trophy for the second year in a row.
