Sha Tin Racing Tips: Sunday June 4th
Race 4: Fo Tan Hcp (C4) 1200m – 19:35 (AEST)
(5) Greenwich is a debutant here at a relatively decent price considering his stature and the quality he’s demonstrated in trials leading up to this debut. The neutral draw should suit and provided he’s not too green here I have him right in the finish.
(1) Baby Crystal is the horse to beat on form alone having finished in the top 2 in 5 of his 6 attempts to date. Gate 3 with Zac Purton aboard is a solid setup just can’t trust him on 1 win at such a short price.
(10) June Planet still hasn’t put it all together and drops to 1200m here to hopefully bring the best out of the horse which is capable of winning a race in this grade.

Race 8: Penfold Mark Hcp (C2) 1200m – 21:40 (AEST)
(12) Youthful Deal has won 2 on the trot and looks for 3 tonight. He cantered across the line on this surface last time and steps up in grade, drops significantly in weight and draws well with Vincent Ho retaining his ride. Hard to beat.
(2) Majestic Star was very good on the turf last time when returning. He’s definitely a better AWT runner so if he carries his form from his 1st run to this race he should be in this race.
(6) Lucky With You can be hard to read and harder to catch at times but I love the booking of Karis Teetan who has plenty of experience riding this horse but now does so on the AWT.

Race 10: Shing Mun River Channel Hcp (C3) 1400m – 22:50 (AEST)
(6) Hyper Dragon Ball didn’t fire a shot on a wet track last time but was looking promising prior and is in the blackbook for that reason. He gets a firm deck here from a nice position in gate 6. Hugh Bowman can win on this horse if he gets it right.
(3) Seizing The Moment is back in form which is great to see. That said, he’s a short price compared to his recent odds and can just as easily put in a poor run as he seemingly produced a surprise win last start.
(4) Solid Impact can impact this race solidly under Brenton Avdulla who has just arrived in Hong Kong. He’s a consistent placegetter just needs to turn those 2’s and 3’s into 1’s.
