Three of the four teams involved on Friday Night NRL will be desperate for the two points, with finals seedings, and potential finals places, on the line. First up, the fifth place Warriors head to Brookvale to take on the Sea Eagles, with the Warriors looking for a top 4 finish, and the Sea Eagles needing a big win to have any chance at the top 8. Then, the Roosters host the Rabbitohs, where a win for the Chooks will see them confirmed as the eighth and final member of the 2025 NRL finals.

NRL Daily Fantasy Lineup Tips: Round 27 Friday
NRL Friday Round 27: Our Value Fantasy Picks
Tanner Stowers-Smith ($8,500) has been named to start in the middle for the Warriors, and whilst there’s a chance he drops to the bench, I don’t think it effects his score much. In games this season where he has played 30+ minutes, Stowers-Smith has averaged a very respectable 31.8 points per game. At near enough to bottom dollar and named to start, I think you can pencil the Warriors prop in for around the 30 mark consistently, which is a nice score for this price point. We need to save money somewhere, and this is a nice place to do it in my opinion for Friday night.
Billy Smith ($9,430) has had his best season since coming into first grade, scoring eight tries in 16 games. Whilst he has had some howlers this season, seeing two scores under 10, he also has some nice upside with five scores of 40+. With the Rabbitohs right edge conceding 46% of their tries this season, and Sam Walker back into the fold, I expect the Roosters to go left early and often, and for Billy Smith to be one of the major beneficiaries of this. Scored 37 earlier this season against the Rabbitohs, and I can see this being about the floor for him here.
NRL Friday Round 27: Our Mid-Priced Fantasy Picks
Cam Murray ($10,660) has been named to return, and whilst there is plenty of risk in this selection, the upside is massive. I can’t see any reason as to why the Rabbitohs would name and play Murray unless he was fit, so I’ve got to assume he’s good to go. Murray is definitely a selection I wouldn’t make until final team lists are put out, however if he’s anywhere in the 17 he’s worth a shout. He hasn’t played at all this season; however, everyone should be aware of his fantasy pedigree, with the fantastic combination of hard work and attacking upside. Looking at the makeup of the team, I believe there’s a chance Tallis Duncan could shift to centre to accommodate Murray in the starting lineup, and if that’s the case it’s full steam ahead. The Rabbitohs will try their hardest to get Murray a four pointer too, and he’s always a great chance at one.
Lehi Hopoate ($12,210) has one of the highest upsides of any player in this slate, and for just over $12k is worth a crack here. I like the Sea Eagles to put the Warriors to the sword this week and see Hopoate as a tremendous stack with Tom Trbojevic or Daly Cherry-Evans. With five scores over 50 this season, and a high of 86.1, Hoppa is one man I don’t want to leave out of my squad. Had a solid game earlier this season against the Warriors, scoring close to 40 without a try, and is someone who could win you money in this slate if the Sea Eagles finish the season with a bang.
NRL Friday Round 27: Our Premium Fantasy Picks
Hugo Savala ($15,590) maintains his place in the Roosters 17, despite the return of Sam Walker at 7, and there’s no doubt he deserves it after a tremendous performance last week against the Storm. We wrote about Savala last week, and he did not disappoint, punching out 66 points on the back of two-line breaks, a try assist, 23 tackles and nearly 450 kicking metres. Savala will maintain the long kicking game this week, and I fully expect another solid score from the halfback. Doesn’t have the ceiling of DCE in this slate, but for the price is a tremendous purchase. In 80-minute games this season, Savala has averaged a solid 58.6, with just the two scores under 40 in those games. The most exciting part though, is the ceiling, with Savala punching out six 60+ scores in those games, with a high score of 83.6.
Tom Trbojevic ($16,670) has been in fine form over the past two weeks, and with this being potentially the last game of the year for the Sea Eagles, and definitely their last home game, I’m expecting one last big performance from Trbojevic here. Despite a poor score in the game earlier this season against the Warriors (22.1), I’ll back him in to fix it this week. With scores the past two weeks of 83.4 and 57.3, I think we are looking at the floor and ceiling of Tommy Turbo on Friday night. Has the pedigree, the Sea Eagles are humming, get him into your teams.
