Racing takes place at Happy Valley in Hong Kong tonight and there's two races that stand out as good betting opportunities according to our racing expert. Find his best bets below!
We've got an even money favourite here that's been well backed early but I think he's a bit vulnerable. That's (6) Happy Good Guys, who was a 2.3L winner here last start. He draws the inside gate here so he certainly gets his chance again, but he's under the odds for mine with the 3.5kg weight rise. (8) Winning Ways is only a winner of two races from 29 starts but he's knocking on the door with two 2nd placings in his past two starts. He ran 2nd to Happy Good Guys last start, but he started from the widest gate and went back, whereas Happy Good Guys went forward from his wide draw and that was the winning move. Prior to that, Winning Ways actually finished ahead of Happy Good Guys when they met. Zac Purton takes over on Winning Ways tonight and barrier 7 with this rail position is positive. The big value in the race is (12) Oversubscribed who ran 3rd behind the two of them last start. He draws wide again tonight but Moreira goes on, and his first up run this prep was very good. $12 is a big price.

Again, we have a short-priced favourite here in the form of (3) Bear Again, but I wouldn't be touching those odds. He got everything his own way two starts back when bolting in, but he got rolled at short odds last start and comes up short once again tonight. (4) Horsesain Bolt is a much better bet at $5.00. He was beaten less than a length on his Hong Kong debut at Sha Tin which is hard to do, and he should find this a bit easier dropping back to Wednesday grade. He's never missed the money from his seven career starts and he gets a good barrier draw for his Happy Valley debut. Steps up in trip and should prove very hard to beat. (1) Flying Quest will appreciate the inside gate here and looks value at double figures.
