St Kilda vs Port Adelaide Prediction & Betting Tips: AFL 2026 Round 18

Saints Finding their Groove

St Kilda were outstanding against Essendon, piling on 13 first-half goals in a dominant display at Marvel Stadium. Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera starred with a career-high 46 disposals, while Brad Hill and Max Hall also found plenty of the football as the Saints showcased the ball movement and pressure that has made them a difficult side to beat when they're at their best. Tom De Koning and Jack Sinclair remain on the sidelines moving forward.

One of the biggest reasons to like St Kilda this weekend is how they've performed against teams around or below them on the ladder. They have already beaten Port Adelaide on the road earlier this season, while they've comfortably accounted for each of the three teams currently sitting beneath them on the ladder. When presented with games they are expected to win, Ross Lyon's side has generally delivered.

Power Still Battling Through Adversity

Port Adelaide snapped back into the winners' list with a 21-point victory over North Melbourne, finishing strongly after scores were level at the final break. Zak Butters and Jason Horne-Francis again carried much of the midfield load, while Mitch Georgiades continued his solid form in attack with three goals.

Despite that victory, the Power continue to face significant challenges. Connor Rozee, Esava Ratugolea and Ewan Mackinlay all remain unavailable, with injuries testing the club's depth throughout the season. Their recent scoring output has also been modest, averaging just 77.8 points across their last five matches, placing extra pressure on their defence each week.

Saints vs Power Best Bet

St Kilda have shown throughout 2026 that they're capable of taking care of business against the teams sitting around or below them on the ladder. They already travelled to Adelaide and defeated Port earlier this season, and they've comfortably handled the competition's lower-ranked sides whenever the opportunity has presented itself.

Port's midfield will ensure they're competitive for long periods, but the Saints' ability to control possession, dominate the contest and create repeat inside 50s should eventually wear the visitors down. At Marvel Stadium, St Kilda look well placed to record another important victory and continue their push towards September.

St Kilda vs Port Adelaide Prop Bet

Hugo Garcia has looked completely at home since moving into a permanent midfield role over the past month. He's produced disposal totals of 29, 27, 36 and 29 across his last four matches, attending more centre bounces and becoming a genuine ball-winning option for the Saints. If that midfield role continues, 25+ disposals shapes as a strong play.

Jack Higgins 2+ Goals | Rowan Marshall 15+ Disposals | Miles Bergman 15+Disposals

Jack Higgins continues to offer terrific value at around $1.90 for two or more goals, having failed to reach that mark just three times across his last nine games. Rowan Marshall should enjoy another busy afternoon as the Saints' sole recognised ruckman with Tom De Koning still unavailable, after collecting 22 and 20 disposals in his last two outings. Miles Bergman also has an excellent record against St Kilda, clearing 15 disposals in four of his last five meetings with the Saints and regularly producing strong performances against the club that has repeatedly shown interest in him during trade and free agency discussions.
