Day 1 of Wimbledon, and what a massive fortnight we have ahead of us. Centre Court has Sinner and Sabalenka to kick things off, but I want to talk about a match a little further down the order that I think the market has got slightly wrong. Check out Ace's best bet for Day 1 at Wimbledon below and good luck to everyone following!

Qinwen Zheng vs Katerina Siniakova
Tuesday June 30, approx. 2am AEST
Katerina Siniakova comes in as favourite here, and in some ways I can kind of understand it. She is an elite doubles player who has shown herself to be more than capable on the grass as both a doubles and singles player. However, her lead-in to this tournament has been a little underwhelming in my opinion. She went out in the first round at Bad Homburg, with what was a shocking final game against Samsonova. Before that she was beaten comfortably by Pegula in Berlin in a match where she couldn't convert when it mattered. She arrives at SW19 having won just one of her last three matches on the surface, and continues to have her knee strapped at times as well. The form lines don’t appear to be particularly strong.
That isn’t to say that Qinwen Zheng's results in the swing have been spectacular. She lost to Gibson in Nottingham and went out at the quarter-final stage in Bad Homburg. But I watched those matches, and I felt as though the level is trending in the right direction after what has been a disappointing year with form and fitness issues. She is a player whose game perhaps suits grass a little more than the results give her credit. She has also been converting break points at a rate much lower than usual, so any improvements there will go a long way in this one as well.
I'll be backing Zheng at 2.20 for 2 units. I think this is a market just isn’t giving Zheng enough respect.
