Eagle Farm Racing Tips: Saturday June 27th 2026

Eagle Farm hosts the second to last weekend of the Queensland carnival and the Group 1 Tattersall’s Tiara is the standout feature of the meeting but is accompanied by 3 x listed races and 2 x group 3s. The track is expected to be SOFT this week with fine weather predicted. The first race kicks off at 11.43am AEST.

Eagle Farm Racing Tips: Saturday, June 27th 2026

Race 7 – Tattersalls Mile - 1600m – LISTED (3:17pm AEST)

(1) War Eternal – 7YO Gelding who is in hot form and has strung together three solid wins in Listed grade. Draws well for this, Tommy BERRY has opted for the ride which will only further boost confidence. Handles the soft track and is 2 from 2 at Eagle Farm. Racing very well and has to be considered. Top weight the only query.

(2) Sun God – 5YO gelding who has been good this campaign with a good win fresh and then ran on nicely to gone down by a pimple to War Eternal last start over 1500m. Got tight for room in the straight, but hit the line nicely. Gets an extra 100m today which will suit and meets War Eternal 2kg better at the weights. Draws pole and gets Nash Rawiller to ride. Fitter again third up and will have plenty of admirers. The one to beat.

(9) Rotagilla – 4YO Gelding who has withdrawn from an easier affair in Sydney and decided to remain in QLD to compete here. Soft track specialist, proven at the trip and albeit running over further I not opposed to him running over the mile now. Drawn okay and Tim Clark steers who has a very good record on top. Light weight and capable of a bold run here. Value pick.

Race 8 – Tattersall’s Tiara – 1400m –Group 1 (3:58pm AEST)

(1) Splash Back – 6YO Mare who was very good second up winning a Group 2 over 1200m at this track on the wet. Has since competed in 2 x Group 1 races and has been far from disgraced. Has ran on in both runs. Drawn well and will be rock hard fir now for this fifth up run. Will be thereabouts. 

(3) Manaal – 4YO Mare who is quite the talent and we have had quite a bit of previous success when being with her. Sound when returning over 1200m at Group 2 level and will only be improving now second up. Second up record is very good 5:3-1-0. Soft track conditions will only further suit. Maps to get one of the runs of the race and there appears to be a clear market edge in the current market. Happy to be with her at the price.

(4) Tuileries – 4YO Mare who has a nice CV and was excellent last start and the the run three back. She now gets her chance at Group 1 success and there is no reason why she cant be competitive. Drawn well and Chad Schofield steers who is 3:2-0-0. The price may be a touch short for her maiden Group 1?. Chance and not to be left out of an exotic.

Race 9 – Eureka Stud W.J Healy Stakes – 1200m - Group 3 (4:35pm AEST)

(2) Yellow Brick – 6YO gelding who was dominant when resuming and then has had his work cut out for him in Group 1 company. Gets back in grade now, drawn well and Tommy Berry rides. Record at the track and his record over 1200m is sound. At the current quote youd be happy to have a play. Goes well. Ready to bounce back.

(9) Niance – 6YO Mare who has yet to return like we would’ve liked her too, but gets into a winnable race here at a good price. Maps to get the run of the race, gets soft conditions where she has a 50% strike rate. Jordan Childs sticks who has won 5 times previously when in the saddle. Pet trip and looks a lovely bet at the price. Happy to be on.

(11) Pereille – 6YO gelding who was sound first and second up when hitting the line intently. Jumped on him last start and he got too far back against the tempo which was costly and a clear forgive. Drawn well for this and if he can settle much closer he has to be considered again. Hard fit now fourth up. Proven wet tracker and id suggest there will still be plenty of admirers. Value pick.
