There will be five horse racing meetings on Wednesday as midweek action is held across five states. We will be targeting Warwick Farm and Pinjarra Scarpside. Here’s four best bets for the midweek gallops action – good luck to everyone following!

Warwick Farm Racing Tips: Wednesday, June 24th
Race 4: Exceedance @ Vinery Stud Handicap 1600m – 2:35pm AEST
(5) Existential Bob resumed a fortnight ago when finishing a narrow second at Randwick-Kensington. Nash Rawiller takes the ride again and from gate 13, he should look to use the gelding’s early speed to find an on-pace position. One concern is that he hasn’t placed second-up from three separate campaigns, but hopefully that can change here. If he runs up to last start’s effort, he will be in the finish.
(10) Deal N’ Dash is first-up from a spell with a pair of trials under the belt. He faced Existential Bob back in January when finishing sixth, about 2.5 lengths behind that horse. He has won once from two attempts when fresh and has each-way claims.
(4) Trapalanda is one of four Annabel and Rob Archibald runners in the race. He is having his first run since February where he finished fourth. The former Irish galloper prefers the staying trip, so the mile is likely to be a little short, but he has been runner‑up over the distance before.
(5) Existential Bob WIN
$4.20 (1.5 Units)
Race 7: TAB Handicap 1100m – 4:20pm AEST
(6) Astronomix has filled all podium positions in his three career runs and should be primed for a first-up assault following three trials. The 56kg after the claim from jockey Anna Roper should help. The speed map should be favourable for the three-year-old and he normally races on speed based on his first prep. Looks a good race to start the campaign.
(3) Tequila Baby finished sixth at her return to racing for Brad Widdup and it was a positive effort as this looks a little easier. Not entirely sure where she will be in the run but she has won second-up and should acquit herself well at good odds. I’m happy to have something smaller on her too.
(11) Zale has had a lengthy preparation and that hasn’t deterred the gelding who has finished second at his past three runs. The wide gate is a worry as he may have to work hard to find a forward position as he likes to lead in his races. Looks a knockout chance.
Also backing: (3) Tequila Baby WIN $10 (1 Unit)
(6) Astronomix WIN
$3.50 (1.5 Units)
Pinjarra Racing Tips: Wednesday, June 24th
Race 1: Vale John Ward Maiden 1600m – 12:29pm (2:29pm AEST)
(8) Miss Santa Corrs is knocking on the door to break her maiden status after 13 attempts. Her last two efforts have been good and if she can run to a similar standard again, she will prove very hard to beat in this contest. She chased home Savvy Ruler last start and that mare has won again.
(3) Olaf The Snowman is also getting closer to winning a maiden. He was third two runs back before finishing second at Northam. His form is definitely some of the best in this race and looks the main danger.
(10) Flavoursome comes out of the same race as Olaf The Snowman, finishing fourth in the recent Northam contest. Both are on the quick back up. Has each-way prospects.
(8) Miss Santa Corrs WIN
$2.40 (3 Units)
Race 7: Hygain Handicap 1300m – 4:05pm (6:05pm AEST)
(2) Mighty Hosanna will push forward early to take up her customary on-speed position and she has a change of jockey with Zephen Johnston-Porter claiming 2kg. She last won with an apprentice aboard, back in this same class of race. I expect her to be honest here and happy with the price on offer.
(4) Western Jet is a last start winner and William Pike has picked up the ride. That was an excellent victory and despite the poor starting gate, the Wizard can probably weave some magic to give the gelding a strong chance at the finish.
(2) Mighty Hosanna WIN
$3.60 (1.5 Units)
