Rosehill Gardens Racing Tips: Saturday, February 21st 2026
Race 6: Chandon Silver Slipper Stakes GROUP 2 1100m - 3:25pm (AEDT)
(2) Hidrix: 2YO Colt who made an immediate impression on debut. Brother to the talented Apocalyptic and he performed up to his brother’s standard. Looks to have natural ability and upside. He draws well again and meets the favourite, Confederation, only half a kilo worse despite having beaten him fair and square last time. He profiles as the clear danger and shapes as a colt who’ll only get better with racing. Talented type.
(4) Confederation: The early favourite and stablemate to Hidrix, who was well supported on debut and showed glimpses of what he’s capable of, slightly green on debut where He did a few things wrong but still found the line with purpose, suggesting there’s improvement to come with experience. Expect him to be right in the finish again. Realistically, the race looks to be between the two stablemates.
(2) Hidrix Win
$4.60 (1.5 Units)
Race 8: Kia Ora Hobartville Stakes GROUP 2 1400m - 4:35pm (AEDT)
(1) Autumn Boy: A classy 3YO resuming who signed off last campaign in style with a Group 1 victory, confirming he’s well above average. He’s trialled strongly in the lead-up and looks to have returned in excellent order. Proven fresh and armed with J-Mac for Waller, he ticks plenty of boxes. A serious colt with the talent.
(3) Wodeton: Resumed last week and produced a tidy run behind the very smart Tempted, closing off with an encouraging late sectional. He’s long been a punter’s headache with plenty of ability, just finds it hard to win and or meets one or two better each time but at today’s price he’s worth another look. On talent alone he’s more than capable of landing in the top three here.
(7) Ninja: This fella was nothing short of explosive two starts back, demolishing a Group 3 field by nearly five lengths. He backed it up with a huge run in defeat next time out, then freshened and trialled nicely since. Draws well, brings strong form, and will have no shortage of admirers. A major player.
Also Backing: (3) Wodeton Win $18 (0.5 Units)
(7) Ninja Win
$3.60 (2.5 Units)
Race 9: Vinery Stud Millie Fox Stakes GROUP 2 1300m - 5:15pm (AEDT)
(1) Lazzura: 4YO Mare who was set to resume last week in what looked a far tougher assignment on paper and still attracted market support. The stable opted to scratch and save her for this, suggesting they see this as a far more winnable race. She has a strong first-up record, and J-Mac who is two from three aboard, sticks. Everything points to her running a bold race.
(8) Cinsault: An in-form mare chasing a hat-trick, she has already notched three wins from four runs this prep and continues to lift with each outing. She’s consistent and very honest. One small note: Tommy Berry jumps off to ride another runner, but at an each-way price she remains very much in the mix.
(1) Lazzura Win
$2.50 (3.5 Units)
