Caulfield Heath will host midweek racing at Melbourne this week and despite anticipation being on the Blue Diamond Stakes which is at Caulfield on Saturday, this meeting looks to be pretty decent. The weather has been hot and a Good 3 or 4 surface will be on offer for gallopers. Race one starts at 3:40pm (AEDT) and the Quaddie will run from races 5-8 on the program.

Caulfield Heath Racing Tips: Wednesday, February 18th 2026
Race 3: Tobin Brothers Celebrating Lives Handicap 1200m - 4:50pm (AEDT)
(2) Fundamental Nature won on debut and looks a likely type. He had John Allen on top at Pakenham and he sat midfield but was too good over the concluding stages in that race which was over 1100m. The extra 100m here looks ideal and another Dry track looks fine too. He has had a number of jumpouts which see him experienced enough despite only having the one career start.
(3) Shinjina ran on well when 2nd last start at Pakenham and she has only missed a placing once in five career starts. Second try at the 1200m after failing last time. Emily Pozman gets the claim.
(6) Eco Force has placed in all 4 career starts on Dry tracks Her only career win came on the Heavy and I will wait and see which surface she appears better on. Drawn well in 2.
(2) Fundamental Each-Way
$5.50/$1.75 (1 unit)
Race 6: Tile Importer Handicap 1200 - 6:30pm (AEDT)
(3) Quiseen was unlucky in a harder race at Caulfield on January 24 and he might like a bit more room to move early with barrier 4. WIth 60kg and barrier 1 he was caught up on the inside last time and with Craig Williams on he should get the gun run here. He loves this distance and he has seen this track twice before and has placed on it. Fourth up and should be hard fit now.
(2) Written Bligh settled handy last start and got the win at Cranbourne. Caulfield Heath usually favours on speed types and he should be suited here. Likes the trip.
(6) Escarpa has drawn the rails and is racing very consistently at present for Greg Eurell. She should settle 3rd or 4th the rails and she is more favoured than not to be running a drum again. Has a good record for Beau Mertens who has won two on top previously.
(3) Quiseen Each-Way
$8.50/$2.75 (0.50 units)
Race 8: Sportset More Places Handicap 1600m - 7:30pm (AEDT)
(8) Humza Bey was backed to win last start at Sale but was 3rd after settling midfield. The extra 200m might be the key for the Mick Price&Michael Kent Jr gelding and he has always had leading jockeys on top in his race and jumpouts which suggests he has talent. Both career wins have been on the Heavy though which is a slight concern. Gets 4 kg in weight relief here.
(2) Cable Dancer likes Dry tracks and will find this race easier after facing off with Suntora last start when 8th at Pakenham. Very experienced and Brad Rawiller knows this guy well. Was in a similar race two starts back at Ararat and he won that one. Big odds but one to watch.
(9) Lario likes Dry ground and gets a 4kg weight drop here. Won well at Geelong two starts back and will settle on pace again.
(8) Humza Bey WIN
$4.00 (1 unit)
