2026 LIV Golf Adelaide Betting Tips

February 10th 2026, 7:40pm, By: Andy Rosos

LIV Golf Adelaide Betting Tips

The LIV Golf circus rolls into Australia this week for LIV Golf Adelaide, and once again the volume will be turned all the way up. Played at The Grange Golf Club, this has quickly become the loudest and most iconic stop on the LIV calendar. More than 100,000 fans are expected across the week, the beers will be flowing, and the infamous Watering Hole is ready to test nerves like nowhere else in world golf. After the season opener in Riyadh, this feels like the first true pressure cooker of 2026.

LIV Golf Adelaide Betting Tips

The Grange Golf Club, Adelaide, Thursday 12th - Sunday 15th February

Top Picks

Joaquin Niemann ($16)

Niemann returns to Adelaide as the defending champion and looks every bit the man to beat again. His elite ball striking and ability to score in bunches make him perfectly suited to The Grange, especially in a no cut format where momentum is everything. Niemann thrives when conditions are fast and aggressive play is rewarded, and he showed last year that he can handle both the course and the crowd. If he finds rhythm early, he has the firepower to take control of the tournament.

David Puig ($9.50)

Puig continues to look like one of the most dangerous emerging players on the LIV roster. Fearless off the tee and ultra aggressive with his irons, he is built for birdie fests and high energy environments. Adelaide’s shorter layout gives him license to attack, and the atmosphere suits his bold style. If the putter heats up, Puig has genuine winning upside and feels primed for a breakthrough LIV moment.

Value Picks

Elvis Smylie ($28)

Smylie shapes as the ultimate home crowd wildcard. After a confidence boosting start to the season in Riyadh, he now gets the full Adelaide treatment in front of a partisan Australian crowd. He feeds off energy, and there is no louder venue on the LIV calendar. If he handles the Watering Hole cleanly and stays patient elsewhere, he has the game and temperament to hang around deep into the weekend.

Lucas Herbert ($36)

Herbert feels tailor made for LIV Golf Adelaide. Creative shot making, fearless putting and total comfort in front of big crowds are all part of his DNA. He knows The Grange well, understands how to navigate windy Australian conditions, and has the short game to save momentum when things get messy. If he finds early confidence with the flat stick, Herbert is a genuine smoky to make a serious run.

The Field

LIV Golf Adelaide once again boasts one of the deepest and most entertaining fields of the season. While Phil Mickelson and Lee Westwood sit this one out, the star power remains immense with Jon Rahm, Bryson DeChambeau, Joaquin Niemann, Tyrrell Hatton and Cameron Smith all teeing it up. The mix of proven champions, rising talents and fearless young players makes this one of the most volatile weeks on the calendar.

Team storylines are everywhere. Ripper GC, led by Cameron Smith, will be desperate to reclaim the team title they lifted in 2024, while Fireballs GC return as defending champions after their dominant performance last year. Legion XIII, Crushers GC and Torque GC all look capable of challenging if momentum swings their way.

With no cut and a $20 million individual purse on the line, expect aggressive play from the opening shotgun start. Every birdie matters, and every mistake is magnified in a field this strong.

The Course

The Grange Golf Club plays as a par 72 measuring just under 6,850 yards, and while it isn’t long by modern standards, it demands precision and discipline. Fairways are generous but angles matter, and the greens can become slick and demanding under pressure. Scoring is available, but careless aggression is often punished.

The defining feature is the par-3 12th, known simply as the Watering Hole. Modeled after the WM Phoenix Open’s Coliseum, it’s surrounded by grandstands, marquees and sky boxes, with players cheered for greens, booed for misses, and showered with flying cups regardless. It’s golf’s most intimidating tee shot outside of a major championship, and it regularly decides momentum.

With perfect summer conditions expected, birdies will be plentiful, but composure will separate contenders from casualties. Adelaide doesn’t just test skill. It tests nerve, personality and the ability to embrace chaos.
