Wyong Racing Tips: Wednesday, November 26th 2025
Race 3: Domeland Midway Hcp Class 1 1350m - 2:55pm (AEDT)
(1) Last Druid: 4YO Gelding who is not the easiest horse to catch with just one win from 17 starts, but it’s worth noting that his lone victory came on this very track, and he backed it up with another strong placing here last time out. Draws to get every possible favour in transit and profiles as a horse knocking on the door again. The early market drift is a small concern, but on exposed form he’s right around the mark and capable of breaking through.
(3) Purple Rose: Progressive mare who’s starting to put together a tidy CV. Returned in excellent order last start, resuming with authority to score by 2.3 lengths over 1300m and never really looked like being beaten. Draws the inside gate which allows her to take full control of her race, and the booking of Zac Lloyd only strengthens her case. With natural improvement to come second-up and ideal conditions, she maps as the clear top pick. Very happy to be in her corner.
(3) Purple Rose WIN
$1.80 (5 Units)
Race 5: Gosford Air – Heat Of The Rising Star Hcp Class 1 1100m - 4:05pm (AEDT)
(2) Columbia Blue: 4YO Gelding who looks like he is going to be a talented type. He made an excellent impression in his debut preparation, posting two strong seconds and a stylish win. Returns for his second campaign and has been given a perfect platform with two sharp trials that suggest he’s come back bigger and better. The Pride stable will have him humming, he draws to get a sweet run, and the 2kg claim from Stapleford only strengthens his position. Deserving favourite on exposed talent and looks a key winning hope.
(8) Sapling: This filly looks to be nicely rated in the race and brings genuine metropolitan form, having held her own in open grade at Rosehill before spelling. Finds a far easier assignment here and importantly, her two career-best performances have come at this very track. Expect natural improvement fresh, and from a favourable set-up she shapes as a sharp value play. If she brings her top effort, she’ll be right in the finish.
(10) Myriad: Announced himself last start with a dominant maiden win, putting them away by 2.5 lengths over the 1000m with a strong turn of foot. Steps up in class today, but draws the inside marble and gets in extremely light with the 3kg claim, carrying just 52kg. That combination should see him land in a perfect spot and give him every chance to go on with it. A serious contender at the weights.
(8) Sapling WIN
$5.00 (1 Unit)
Race 6: Abcoe Central Coast BM64 1300m - 4:50pm (AEDT)
(1) Heuristic: Seasoned campaigner from the Bjorn Baker yard who finally drops back into a genuinely winnable race after tackling far stronger opposition in recent starts. He’s rock-hard fit, proven at this level, and certainly capable of recapturing winning form if things fall his way. While he’s traditionally more effective on rain-affected going, the class drop is significant and sets the table for a sharp showing.
(2) Sisu Spirit: A talented gelding who put together two stylish wins last preparation before being pulled up in brutal conditions when nothing went right. Has since been reset and returns here off two strong trials that suggest he’s right back on track. Draws to get every favour and the booking of Zac Lloyd is a big tick for the Waterhouse & Bott stable. With natural improvement to come, he shapes as the leading player in this field.
(3) Lugarno: Ultra-consistent type with two wins and six placings already on his CV, and he resumes here off three solid trials that indicate he’s forward enough to run well fresh. Early market support is an encouraging sign, and his overall profile stacks up strongly for this grade. The only slight query is the sticky gate, but if he can slot in midfield with cover, he’s right in the mix. Expect a competitive return.
(2) Sisu Spirit WIN
