Race 2: Ranvet BM78 2400m - 3:35pm (AEDT)
(2) Format: 4YO Gelding who got the chocolates nicely over 2000m second up under top weight. Strips fitter third up, draws a lovely gate and looks capable for 2400m off last start. Up in grade, but only lugs 58kg now. Will be right in this.
(5) War Ribbon: 4YO Gelding who we tipped last start after a very good 2110m run second up hitting the line intently and looked to be screaming for 2400m. Failed to fire after having a lovely run at Warwick Farm last start. Happy to forgive and give another crack. Weighted nicely.
(6) Scottish Pearl: 5YO Mare who has been racing well this campaign and looks to be another winning chance. Rates well and Ashley Morgan remains in the saddle. Drawn well and looks to be a main danger. Value

Race 4: Asahi Super Dry BM88 1800m - 4:45pm (AEDT)
(1) Pocketing: 4YO Gelding who hasn’t returned as well as we thought, but gets back in distance now and competes against some easier types on paper. Drawn well and will be rock hard fit now. Chance.
(2) Unlimited: 6YO Gelding who has been racing soundly and has had a nice 5 week freshen up. Drawn well and J-Mac steers. $3.30 into $2.50 in the early market suggests she will be running well here.
(6) Kind Words: 5YO Mare who resumed nicely over 1400m when lugging 62kg on her back. Looks suited out to 1800m now second up and has also been backed in the early market. Rates well.

Race 5: Calerie Life BM72 1100m - 5:20pm (AEDT)
(6) Strada Varenna: 3YO Filly who won on her debut by 2.5L and then went onto compete in open grade and was far from disgraced. Expecting her to have returned in much better order this time round and will only be improving. Rates well here and has trialled twice which were pretty handy. Collett for Baker is a dangerous combo. Goes well.
(8) Ninette: 4YO Mare who has been terrific in both her runs. Finished second first up and then second up run she was enormous winning by 2.5L on the heavy over this trip. May be a mud lark? Gets back to the dry track and has since trialled nicely after that heavy track win. Draws a sticky gate, but with some luck will be hitting the line strongly.
