Randwick Racing Tips: Wednesday, August 13th 2025
Race 5: PKF Sydney BM72 – 1000m - 3:10pm (AEST)
(1) Cavallo Rampante $7.00/$2.40: 6YO Mare who resumes today and looks to be well placed with Nock in the saddle claiming 2kg for her first up run. Generally runs well fresh and has wet track form. All career wins come from this trip. Each way.
(5) Kiribati $8.50/$2.60: 5YO Gelding who has been freshened up and was solid last time out over 1100m on the heavy finishing second. Key booking of J-Mac adds confidence and he should be running well here. Each way.
(6) Passeggiata $3.10: 6YO mare who resumes today and has a tidy first up record with the 2 wins and 2 placings from 5 attempts. She is a known wet tracker with a proven win and second placing on the heavy conditions. Drawn well and clearly looks to be the top hope in this field. Major player.
(6) Passeggiata
$3.10 (2 Units)
Race 8: PKF Global BM72 – 1550m - 3:45pm (AEST)
(2) Bat Out Of Hell $5.00: 6YO Gelding who looks well placed on the quick back up after running a terrific race last week to finish second behind Seven’s over this trip/conditions. They have opted to remain with Nash in the saddle which is a tick and he is rock hard fit for this now. Enjoys the heavy conditions and looks to be hitting the line strongly. Chance.
(6) Misterkipchoge $15.00/$3.80: Roughie of the field who has the ability to win this, but he mixes his form too often. His win three back was impressive and then has failed to fire since. Gets a 2kg claim today, so some weight relief and draws a handy gate. If he is close enough in the early stages he can play a role here.
(10) Barbray $4.20: 4YO Gelding who has been sound all prep and has form in some much tougher races, including Saturday metro meets. Gets back to midweek racing where he looks very well placed. Rock hard fit, proven wet tracker and has a win over this trip. Added confidence with J-Mac jumping into the saddle after riding a couple others who line up in this race. The one to beat.
(10) Barbray
$4.20 (1.5 Units)
Race 7: Precise Air Premiers Cup Prelude - 1800m – 4:20pm (AEST)
(1) More Felons $15.00/$3.80: Classy 7YO Stayer who has had a lengthy break, but his form had been terrific prior to heading to the paddock. This looks to be a nice race to return for and as a 108 rater, but having a 3kg claim engaged he looks to be one of the bets in the race at odds. 50% strike rate when resuming and has a proven record on the weather affected track. Drawn nicely and has to be considered, especially at these odds. Each way roughie.
(8) St Lawrence $11.00/$3.10: 7YO Gelding who has continued to improve this campaign and with the step out to 1800m he looks every chance off his last start where he picked a few off late over the mile. Rock hard fit fourth up and is 1 from 1 on the heavy. Draws an okay gate and should be hitting the line. Each way.
(16) Saltcoats $3.50: 5YO Gelding who has had a little freshen up after running nicely in the winter challenge over 1500m. This fella has a lovely record on the heavy and is a winner over this trip previously. The clear talent of the field and will have plenty of admirers. Zac Lloyd to steer from pole position for Waller is appealing. The main danger.
(1) More Felons E/W
$15.00/$3.80 (1 Unit)
